Do I need coding skills?
No. Create slides from the WordPress admin and display them with the [AWP-SLIDER] shortcode. If you use Elementor, you can also manage everything visually inside the editor.
Does this plugin require Elementor?
No. Elementor is optional. The shortcode works with any standard WordPress theme. The Elementor widget is available only when Elementor is active.
How do I add the slider to a page?
Create at least one slide under AWP Sliders, then paste [AWP-SLIDER] into the page content. With Elementor, add the AWP Slider widget to your layout.
Why is my slide not showing?
Every slide needs an image. For CPT slides, set a Featured Image. For Elementor custom slides, upload an image in the slide repeater. Slides without images are skipped on purpose.
Can I change colors and styles?
Yes. Use AWP Sliders → Settings → Colors for global defaults. In Elementor, you can override colors, typography, button styles, and navigation for each widget instance.
Can I show more than one slide at a time?
Yes. In Settings (or Elementor carousel controls), set Slides per view for desktop, tablet, and mobile. You can also adjust spacing and centered slides.
Will it slow down my website?
The plugin loads Swiper and slider assets only when needed for pages that use the slider. Keep slide images optimized for best performance.
Is it compatible with the latest WordPress?
Yes. Advanced Image Slider & Carousel is tested up to WordPress 7.0 and requires PHP 7.4 or higher.
Where is my data stored?
Slide content is stored in your WordPress database as custom post type entries and plugin settings. Nothing is sent to third-party servers by this plugin.
