AI Receptionist Widget connects WordPress to AIReceptionist.so, a hosted AI receptionist for appointment-based businesses. Add the widget without editing theme files, then control where it appears from WordPress.   1. Install AI Receptionist Widget from the WordPress Plugin Directory, or upload the aireceptionist-so folder to /wp-content/plugins/.

What does this plugin do?

It connects a WordPress site to the hosted AI Receptionist widget and controls where that widget loads. Conversations, leads, bookings, and follow-ups are handled by the AI Receptionist service.

Do I need an AI Receptionist account?

Yes. Create an account before connecting the plugin. The connector itself is free, while use of the hosted service is subject to its account allowance or plan.

Where do I find my Office ID?

Sign in to the AI Receptionist dashboard. Your WordPress installation instructions and Office ID are available in Settings.

Where can the widget appear?

You can show it across the entire site, on posts, on pages, or only on the front page.

Can it answer questions and book appointments?

Yes. The hosted assistant answers from the business facts you configure and can offer real open appointment times stored in AI Receptionist. It can also capture visitor details for follow-up. Available behavior depends on your account and configuration.

Does it support Spanish?

Yes. Visitors can switch the hosted conversation between English and Spanish.

Does the plugin send data to an external service?

Yes. The exact circumstances and data are listed in the External service section above. The widget is off by default.

Does the plugin edit my theme or content?

No. It loads the hosted widget on the parts of the site you select without modifying theme files, posts, or pages.

What happens when I deactivate or uninstall the plugin?

Deactivating stops the widget from loading. Uninstalling removes the plugin's WordPress settings and saved connection result. It does not delete the AI Receptionist account or hosted service data; manage those through the AI Receptionist dashboard.
