BuyNow lets WooCommerce customers pay with KIB BuyNow flexible payment options:

• Split – split the order total into instalments.
• Financing – apply for Sharia-compliant financing at checkout.

External services This plugin connects to the KIB BuyNow payment gateway (hosted at buynow.kib.com.kw and related KIB environments) to authenticate the merchant, create finance applications and orders, and retrieve their status. This is required for BuyNow Split and Financing checkout. Data sent when a customer places an order with BuyNow: order amount, customer phone number (the mobile number entered at checkout for Split, or the billing phone for Financing), order ID (correlation ID), number of instalments or financing tenor, and order line items (product ID, name, price, and quantity). Merchant credentials (merchant reference, API key, and a request signature) are sent when authenticating. Requests happen only at checkout, when checking order status, and when an administrator tests credentials. The gateway also sends webhook notifications to your store to update order statuses. This service is provided by Kuwait International Bank (KIB): terms of use, privacy policy.

1. Upload the buy-now-by-kib folder to /wp-content/plugins/ or install the plugin ZIP from Plugins → Add New.
2. Activate the plugin. WooCommerce must be active.
3. Go to WooCommerce → Settings → Payments → BuyNow.

Step 1: Connect your BuyNow account (Environments tab)

1. Select the UAT environment to test first. The environment marked "In Use" is the one checkout uses.
2. Under Credentials, enter the Merchant Reference (UUID), API Key, and HMAC Secret from the BuyNow portal.
3. Click Save changes, then click Test Connection. "Connection successful." confirms the credentials are valid.

1. Use the copy buttons in Portal Setup to copy the Webhook URL, Redirect URL, Webhook Auth Header Key, and Webhook Auth Header Value.
2. Paste each value into the matching field in the BuyNow portal. BuyNow uses the webhook to update order statuses and the redirect URL to send customers back to your store.
3. Click Regenerate only if you need a new header value. You must then update it in the BuyNow portal as well.

1. Turn on Enable BuyNow.
2. Choose a Payment Mode: Split Only (orders up to 500 KWD), Financing Only (orders above 500 KWD up to 25,000 KWD), or Both (Split up to 500 KWD, Financing above that up to 25,000 KWD).
3. Set Financing Max Tenor. Customers can choose any tenor from 3 months up to this limit (maximum 60 months).
4. Set the Split Down Payment Percentage. The preview below the field shows what customers will see.
5. Under Show BuyNow On, choose where to display the instalment amount: product page, shop and category pages, related products, cart page, or mini cart.
6. Click Save changes.

These settings apply to every environment. See screenshots 3 and 4. Step 4: Map order statuses (Order Settings tab) Each BuyNow status is mapped to a WooCommerce order status for Split and Financing. The defaults work for most stores. Change a dropdown if your fulfilment process needs a different status, then click Save changes. See screenshot 5. Step 5: Test and go live

1. With UAT in use, place a test order and choose BuyNow at checkout (screenshot 6). Confirm that you are redirected to BuyNow, returned to your store, and that the order status updates.
2. Select the Live environment, enter your production credentials, click Save changes, then click Test Connection.
3. Copy the Live Portal Setup values into the production BuyNow portal.
4. Click Go Live. This is only possible after the Live credentials are saved and tested successfully.
