Call Bullet is a call tracking and call attribution service for agencies and businesses. This plugin connects a WordPress site to a Call Bullet account and:
- Replaces your configured business phone number (visible text and tel: links, in common UK formats, including content that loads later) with a Call Bullet tracking number from your website pool.
- Leaves every other number and contact detail on the page untouched.
- Shows calls, answered and missed calls, call sources, attribution evidence and tracking health in native WordPress screens.
- A visitor arrives on your site and sees a tracking number in place of your business number.
- The visitor calls that number.
- Call Bullet forwards the call to your real business number.
- The call, and the source that led to it (for example Google Ads, organic search or social), appears in Call Bullet and in this plugin.
- Overview: calls, answer rate and top sources for the chosen date range.
- Calls: the call log with source, outcome, length and a link to the full call in Call Bullet.
- Attribution: which sources and landing pages led to calls.
- Numbers: each tracking number with impressions, calls and status.
- Tracking health: a checklist showing whether swapping is working on this site.
- Settings: connection, install key and the Number swapping switch.
安装:
- Create a Call Bullet account at https://callbullet.com and add the business phone number for the website.
- In WordPress, install and activate the plugin.
- Open Call Bullet in the admin menu.
- Connect in one of two ways: click "Sign in with Call Bullet" and choose the client this website belongs to, or paste the install key from Call Bullet → Integrations → WordPress and click Save.
- Number swapping switches on automatically when you connect. You can switch it off at any time under Settings.
- Open your website in a private browser window and check the tracking number is shown in place of your business number.
- Call the tracking number. The call appears under Calls within a minute.
常见问题:
Which numbers are swapped?
Only the business number configured for the client in CallBullet. Other numbers are never touched.
Can the client see other agency data?
No. A connected website can only read the one client it was linked to.
What happens without a Call Bullet account?
Nothing. The plugin only loads the number-swap script after an install key is saved or you sign in.
Does it work with caching plugins?
Yes. Saving an install key clears common page caches, and numbers are swapped in the visitor's browser, so cached pages still show tracking numbers.
How do I switch swapping off?
Open Call Bullet → Settings and turn off Number swapping. Your original number shows again straight away.
What happens when I uninstall?
All plugin settings, keys and cached reports are deleted from your database.
