Yes. The plugin sells CardV products and pays for them from your CardV balance.
Checkout for gift cards is paused until your balance covers the cart, so customers are not charged for cards you cannot deliver.
Only orders paid with the payment methods you select, and that pass your delivery rules. Everything else waits on CardV > Orders for you to approve or reject.
Yes. The sync updates cost, price and availability only. It never overwrites your text, and never replaces images, brand logos or categories you set yourself.
In CardV > Settings > Product sync choose "Use CardV categories" (default: each product goes into a store category named like its CardV category, created when missing) or "Use my own categories" (the plugin never changes categories; you pick one when importing). A product whose categories you changed is always left alone.
Use cardv_gc_get_product_data( $product ). For a CardV gift card it returns an array with kind (fixed or range), brand (name, logo URL), region (code, name), category, face_currency, denominations (variation ID, face value, currency, text shown, price, availability; lowest first), range (min, max, step, lowest and highest price), redemption (HTML) and terms_html; for other products it returns null. cardv_gc_get_range_price( $product, $amount ) returns the price of a custom amount. The same data is in the WooCommerce Store API product response under extensions.cardv. These names stay compatible in future versions; new keys may be added. Cost and margin are never included.
When a customer cannot buy a gift card (no API key, the Live mode agreement not accepted, or your CardV balance does not cover the cart), the customer sees "temporarily unavailable" and you see the exact reason at the top of your WordPress dashboard, WooCommerce and CardV screens.
Yes. Copy any file from the plugin's templates folder to yourtheme/cardv-gift-cards/ and edit it.
No. Paste your keys on the Settings page; they are stored encrypted. Advanced users can instead define CARDV_GC_LIVE_KEY_ID, CARDV_GC_LIVE_SIGNING_SECRET and CARDV_GC_LIVE_WEBHOOK_SECRET (and the same names with SANDBOX) in wp-config.php; values set there override the Settings page. By default secrets and codes are encrypted with your WordPress salts. To use a separate key, define CARDV_GC_ENCRYPTION_KEY (at least 32 characters) before saving keys, and list old keys in CARDV_GC_PREVIOUS_KEYS (comma separated) when you change it.
Settings, encrypted secrets, scheduled jobs and the activity log are removed. Your products and orders stay in WooCommerce. Delivered codes stay encrypted on the orders.
cardv_gc_get_product_data(), cardv_gc_get_range_price() and the Store API extensions.cardv data.
