Chat Cobalt

This is an AI chat widget that answers visitor questions automatically, using the information you give it about your business, and captures leads while you're not around. This plugin places the widget on every front-end page of your site. Paste in your Business ID and save -- that's the whole setup. Optionally, it can also let the chat answer using your own pages and posts. Add a Site Key from your dashboard, choose which content types to include, and the plugin sends the title, summary, link and featured image of your published content to chatcobalt.com so the AI can answer from it and link visitors to the right page. This is off unless you turn it on.

Requires an account This plugin only places the widget -- the chat itself, the AI, and your dashboard all live at chatcobalt.com. You'll need an account for the widget to do anything. 1. Upload and activate the plugin (Plugins → Add New → search "Chat Cobalt", or Upload Plugin with the zip).
2. Go to Chat Cobalt in the left-hand menu.
3. Paste in your Business ID (find it in your dashboard, under "Embed code").
4. Click Save changes.

The chat widget will now appear on every page of your site, styled with the brand color detected on your website when you signed up.

• WooCommerce: a customer messaging your WhatsApp number can ask where their order is. They see only orders placed with the number they are messaging from, and only the status, date, items and tracking.
• The assistant now knows which page a visitor is reading, so "is this in stock?" is answered about that product.

• New: "Only these categories" under "Answer with your content" -- every category-style grouping on your site (Categories, Tags, product categories, and any custom ones) is detected automatically, and you can tick just the ones the chat should draw from. Leave it blank to keep sending everything. Pages and other content without categories are never affected.

• Password-protected pages and posts are no longer included when syncing your content -- their titles and summaries stayed on your site already, and the chat will never link a visitor to one.

• Fixed: pages built with Divi, WPBakery or Avada synced with no summary at all, so the chat had only their title to work from. Elementor pages, which store their content separately, are now read correctly too.

• Your chat can now answer with your own pages. Ask it something and it can show the matching post or page as a card -- featured image, title and summary -- that visitors can tap straight through to.
• New "Answer with your content" setting: tick which content types to include (posts, pages, products, or any custom type your site uses).
• Content stays current on its own. Publishing, editing or deleting anything updates the chat within a minute, and there is a "Sync now" button if you want it immediately.
• Only the title, summary, link and featured image of published items are sent -- never the full content of a post. Pages you have marked noindex are left out.
• Requires a Site Key, which you generate in your account settings.
