ClicAven URL Shortener connects your WordPress site to your ClicAven account to generate branded short links for your content, right from the editor.

- Upload the plugin to
/wp-content/plugins/clicaven/or install it from the Plugin Directory. - Activate it in Plugins → Installed Plugins.
- Go to Settings → ClicAven, paste your ClicAven API key, and click Save.
- Open any post or page; a ClicAven box appears with a "Shorten" button.

Where do I get an API key?
Log in to clicaven.com and create one from your dashboard. The API is available on all plans (Free: 50 links, 30 req/min — Pro and above for higher limits).
Can I use my own domain?
Yes. If you have configured a custom domain in ClicAven (Pro+), enter it in Settings → ClicAven and the plugin will use it for new links.
What happens if I delete a short link in WordPress?
The plugin only removes the link reference from your post meta. The short link itself is not deleted from your ClicAven account; manage it from your ClicAven dashboard if you want to remove it for good.
Does the plugin send analytics or tracking data?
No. The plugin does not send any analytics. It only calls the ClicAven API when you explicitly ask it to (creating, fetching, or refreshing a link).
