- A classic Benchmark Email account (created before April 2026) with an API key
- Log in to your Benchmark Email account.
- Open Integrations > API (or go straight to Benchmark Email → Integrations).
- Copy your API key.
- Paste it into the ClickSyncr Benchmark Email settings of any form.

- Go to Plugins > Add New.
- Search for "ClickSyncr Form Sync for Benchmark Email".

- Download the plugin ZIP file.
- In your WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin.
- Choose the ZIP file and click Install Now.
- Activate the plugin.
- Edit any form and open its ClickSyncr Benchmark Email settings.
- Paste your Benchmark Email API key, choose a list, and map your fields (email is required).

Do I need a Benchmark Email account?
Yes. You'll need an active classic Benchmark Email account and its API key to sync your contacts.
My key starts with bme_ and will not connect
That key belongs to Benchmark's new platform, launched in April 2026, which speaks a different API. This release connects classic accounts; new-platform support is on its way, and the key card names the key for what it is the moment you paste it.
Which form builders are supported?
Contact Form 7, WPForms, Gravity Forms, Ninja Forms, Fluent Forms, Formidable Forms, and Forminator. At least one of them must be installed and activated.
Where do I find my Benchmark Email API key?
Log in to Benchmark Email and open Integrations > API, then copy your key. The setup guide shows exactly where to paste it.
Can I map custom fields?
Yes. Map any form field to Benchmark Email's contact fields, from first and last name through phone, company and address.
How does the opt-in consent field work?
Pick a consent field (a checkbox, acceptance, or radio) from your form. When a visitor ticks it, the contact is sent to your list; when they leave it unticked, nothing is sent to Benchmark Email at all. Leave it as "None" to send every submission.
Does it work with Benchmark Email double opt-in?
Yes. Benchmark Email applies whatever opt-in your list is set to, single or double, and offers no way to override it per submission. The panel shows the list's setting and links you to where it is changed.
Can I use different settings for different forms?
Yes. Every form has its own ClickSyncr Benchmark Email setup, so each can sync to a different list.
