Collect24 Art ID

Collect24 Art ID connects your WordPress site to Collect24.art, a global registry that issues a permanent, resolvable C24 Art ID for artworks. WordPress stays your primary content system. Collect24 never replaces it. You keep creating and editing artworks exactly where you already do — a Post, a Page, a custom post type like "Artwork" or "Portfolio", or a WooCommerce Product. This plugin maps the fields you choose onto the Collect24 registry schema, registers each artwork once, and then keeps that registration automatically up to date whenever you edit the artwork in WordPress. Unpublishing or deleting the WordPress post never deletes the Collect24 record or its C24 Art ID — the registry entry is designed to persist independently of your website. This plugin uses an external service This plugin sends data to, and receives data from, the Collect24.art API (collect24.art), a third-party service operated by Collect24. Only the artwork fields you explicitly map (e.g. title, artist, medium, dimensions, image URLs) plus minimal technical information needed to identify the source (site URL, WordPress post ID, permalink) are sent — never your WordPress user list, customer data, orders, or unrelated site content. Data leaves your server only when you connect an API token and register or sync an artwork; nothing is sent while the plugin is in Mock mode. 1. Upload the plugin ZIP via Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, or extract it to wp-content/plugins/collect24-art-id/.
2. Activate the plugin.
3. Go to Collect24 → Onboarding and follow the four steps: Connect, Choose source, Map fields, Preview & Register.

Activation only creates a small sync-log table and a handful of default options — it never modifies existing content, and normal deactivation never removes data.
