常见问题:
Are the backlinks really free?
Yes. No money changes hands anywhere in the network. You "pay" by hosting guest posts from other verified publishers, which earns you the points you spend to publish your own. The Free plan needs no payment details and never expires.
How is this different from paid guest post marketplaces?
Marketplaces sell placements for roughly $70-450+ per post. Consolety replaces the invoice with a points economy: hosting earns what publishing costs. You get the same thing - a guest post with your backlinks on a real site - for the effort of writing and hosting content instead of money.
Is guest posting safe for SEO?
A guest post written for readers, on a relevant site, with a natural link, is a long-standing way to earn backlinks. What Google treats as spam is large-scale guest posting with keyword-stuffed anchor text, and links bought for money. Consolety is built around that line: every host reviews and can refuse each post, hosts set their own link limits, and no money is involved anywhere.
Is this a link exchange scheme?
No. The points system prevents reciprocal linking. You earn points hosting for one publisher and spend them publishing on a different site, so links do not flow back and forth between the same two sites.
How does verification work?
Through Google Search Console OAuth. Google confirms you are the legitimate owner of your domain. Unlike Domain Authority scores, GSC ownership cannot be faked, so the network stays free of fake sites and link farms.
What does Consolety read from my Search Console?
Two things: that your Google account has verified access to the property for this site, and four site-wide totals over the last 30 days - clicks, impressions, average CTR and average position. Other members see your clicks, impressions and a traffic tier on your profile card. Search queries and page-level data are never read.
I unticked the Search Console box on Google's screen. Now what?
Nothing to fix. Google shows that permission as a separate checkbox; if it is left unticked, Consolety asks Google once more for just that permission, on a screen with no checkbox to miss.
Do I have to accept every connection request?
No. Sites that are open for the network accept connections automatically, so requests never expire while you are away. A connection only lets a site send you a guest post: every article still waits for your approval, and you can disconnect any partner at any time. A site you once declined or disconnected has to wait for you again.
Can I control what appears on my site?
Yes. You set minimum word count, link limits, AI content policy, forbidden niches, and custom instructions. Every incoming guest post arrives as a draft that you review, request revisions on, or reject.
What happens when I approve a post?
The guest post is created as a WordPress draft. You review it before publishing. It appears as a regular blog article on your site.
Do I have to pay?
No. The Free tier works without payment. Pro is optional and adds faster earning and distribution tools.
Can I disconnect?
Yes. Go to Dashboard and click Disconnect. Published posts remain since they are regular WordPress posts.

- Fix: connecting with a second Google account - for example after first trying the wrong one - failed with "Authentication failed" on every attempt. The site now goes to the account that proves Search Console access, and if another verified account already holds it, the message names that account.
- Fix: sites on a subdomain (blog.example.com) were rejected even when their owner had a Domain property for example.com in Search Console
- Improvement: leaving the Search Console box unticked on Google's screen no longer ends in an error - Consolety asks Google again for just that permission
- New: connection requests to open sites are accepted instantly, so they no longer expire while the other owner is away. You still approve every guest post that arrives on your site.
- Fix: the email notifications for connection requests, new guest posts and approvals were sent without any content. They now say what happened and link straight to the right screen, and those links open the right tab.
- New: a one-time request to review the plugin, shown only after your first exchange went through
- Fix: the partner picker showed a Dutch label ("clicks/maand") in every language
- Maintenance: Freemius SDK 2.13.5 (security hardening), tested with WordPress 7.1
- The connection and email fixes run on the Consolety Hub, so every plugin version benefits from them
- Fix: the plugin showed up entirely in English on sites set to Dutch, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Japanese or Brazilian Portuguese, even though it ships full translations for all of them. WordPress loads a language pack from wordpress.org before the bundled catalogue and stops there, and the pack it builds from the readme holds only a couple of strings - so it replaced 477 translated strings with almost none. The bundled catalogue now wins.

- Fix: the Search Console permission message was the last untranslated string in the plugin - it is now available in all nine languages
