Couac is a visual feedback and review tool for agencies and their clients. This plugin embeds the Couac feedback widget on your WordPress site so visitors, clients or your QA team can leave feedback in one click, with a screenshot and the exact element they pointed at.
This is the official Couac plugin, built and maintained by G3W (https://gianito.com), the company that operates the Couac service at https://couac.app.
The plugin only decides where and to whom the widget appears. The widget's look and feel (position, color, mascot, language, behaviour) stays managed in your Couac project, so a single source of truth drives every site.
Features
- Guided three-step setup right after activation: connect, choose who sees it, check it on the site.
- The key is checked with Couac as soon as you paste it, with the project name and whether this site is allowed.
- One honest status on the settings page: it tells you when the widget really loads, and how to fix it when it does not.
- Private review by default: only the roles you pick see the widget until you open it to the public.
- Audience targeting: a private review for chosen roles, every logged-in account, or the whole public site.
- Page targeting: all pages, only selected content types / IDs, or everywhere except selected ones.

- Upload the plugin to
/wp-content/plugins/couac-feedback-widget, or install it from the Plugins screen. - Activate it through the Plugins menu in WordPress.
- The setup opens by itself (or go to Settings → Couac Widget).
- Paste your project key (from your Couac project, Widget tab): it is checked right away.
- Choose who sees the widget, save, then open the site to see it live.

Where do I find my project key?
In your Couac project, open the Widget tab. The key starts with pk_. It is a public key, safe to ship in page source.
Does the plugin store any personal data?
No. It stores only your plugin settings (the key and targeting rules). Feedback submitted through the widget is handled by Couac (see https://couac.app/en/privacy).
Can I restrict the widget to my team during a review?
Yes, and it is the default: "Private review" shows the widget only to the roles you pick (administrators and editors to start with). Visitors never see it until you choose "The whole public site".
Where do I set up white label?
In your Couac project, White label tab: logo, color, sender name and hiding the Couac mention. The plugin does not need any change for it.
What is the "Couac server address" in Advanced?
Leave it empty in almost every case. Fill it only if Couac gave you a dedicated address already verified in your project. The plugin tests the address before saving it, and the settings page offers a one-click fix if the widget cannot load from it.

- Automatic fix on update: a server address that pointed to your own domain (often entered as "white label") is removed, so the widget loads from couac.app again. Administrators see a one-time notice.
- When Couac refuses a key, the settings page now says which fix applies: copy the key again (or check the project's subscription), or add this site to the project's allowed sites.
- New guided setup in three steps, opened right after activation.
- The key is checked as soon as it is pasted, with the project name and the site permission.
