Dave Gerrits Site Migrator helps you move a complete WordPress website from one WordPress installation to another using a single .dgmigrate migration package. Create an export on the source website, download the migration package, install a clean WordPress installation on the destination, and import the package there. Dave Gerrits Site Migrator restores the database, plugins, themes, uploads and other WordPress content and performs final checks before reporting that the migration is complete. Dave Gerrits Site Migrator does not impose an artificial export or import size limit. The standard version uses the WordPress/PHP upload mechanism for importing a package, so the effective maximum upload size is determined by the destination hosting environment. Features

How to migrate a website

1. Install and activate Dave Gerrits Site Migrator on the source website.
2. Open Dave Gerrits Site Migrator > Export and create a migration package.
3. Download the .dgmigrate file after the final export check passes.
4. Create a clean WordPress installation on the destination website.
5. Install and activate Dave Gerrits Site Migrator on the destination website.
6. Open Dave Gerrits Site Migrator > Import and select the migration package.
7. Start the import and keep the page open until the final validation succeeds.
8. Check the migrated website and sign in again if WordPress asks you to.

Hosting upload limits Dave Gerrits Site Migrator itself does not add an artificial import size restriction. The standard version uploads the migration package through WordPress/PHP. Hosting settings such as upload_max_filesize and post_max_size therefore determine the maximum package that can be uploaded on the destination website. If the selected package is larger than the detected hosting upload limit, Dave Gerrits Site Migrator reports this before the import starts. Website Migrator Pro Website Migrator Pro is a separate product for larger WordPress websites and more advanced migration workflows. Pro also supports the normal manual export-and-import workflow, but adds more robust processing for large migration packages, controlled chunked uploads, resumable exports and imports, adaptive processing for slower hosting environments and extended integrity checks.
