.glb file and a .usdz file to any product from the product edit screen..glb file for 3D and Android AR, and a .usdz file for iOS AR.devdiggers-ar-for-woocommerce folder to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory, or install the plugin through the Plugins > Add New screen in WordPress.No. Augmented reality runs in the phone's own browser using the viewer built into the operating system: Scene Viewer on Android and AR Quick Look on iOS. Your customer taps View in AR and the camera opens. Nothing is downloaded and no account is needed.
A .glb file powers the on-page 3D viewer and augmented reality on Android. A .usdz file powers augmented reality on iPhone and iPad, because AR Quick Look accepts nothing else. You can upload one or both per product.
You supply the files. Most 3D software, Blender included, exports GLB, and USDZ can be generated from the same source model. The plugin's Products screen links a working sample of each format so you can check yours against a known-good file before uploading.
Yes, on both. iOS uses AR Quick Look and needs a USDZ file. Android uses Scene Viewer and needs a GLB file. Upload both and the right one opens on the right device automatically.
Augmented reality needs a camera and a phone's motion sensors, so it is a mobile feature. Desktop visitors still get the full 3D viewer and can rotate and zoom the product. Sending desktop shoppers to their phone with a QR code is part of the Pro version.
Yes. A variable product shows the model attached to the product itself. Giving each individual variation its own model is available in the Pro version.
The 3D viewer and its decoders are bundled with the plugin and served from your own site, so the storefront makes no request to any third-party CDN. The 3D model itself only loads for products where you have uploaded one.
No. Nothing about your customers or store visitors leaves your site. The only outbound requests are admin-only and are listed in full in the External services section below. View analytics are a Pro feature and record only anonymous product, view-type and device information.
No. Every feature listed under the free version works permanently, on every product, with no limits and no trial period.
