Driveline for WPBakery puts the vehicle rental features of Driveline Core into the WPBakery editor. Every element is a placement: it collects attributes in the editor, hands them to Driveline Core and prints what comes back, so a price on a WPBakery page and a price at checkout are produced by the same code. Fourteen elements, matching the Elementor pack: What you need Driveline Core, which is free in this directory, and WPBakery Page Builder, which is a commercial product sold separately by its own authors. This pack is not affiliated with them and does not include, bundle or sell WPBakery, and nothing here asks you for a licence key. Without WPBakery the elements still render on pages that already use them; what you lose is the editor. The Post Grid and Post Masonry Grid gain the fleet and the branches as data sources, under the names those post types actually carry. Bookings, enquiries, extras and packages are taken out of that list: they hold customer records, they are registered so they never surface publicly, and a grid pointed at one would undo that.

  1. Install and activate WPBakery Page Builder and Driveline Core.
  2. Upload this plugin to /wp-content/plugins/ and activate it.
  3. The elements appear in the editor under Driveline.

  • Vehicle Grid on the front end. Each card carries the specification, the rate and the booking link that Driveline Core produced, not a copy of them.
  • Vehicle Carousel. The track is a scroll container and the cards are scroll snap points, so a finger, a trackpad, the scrollbar and the arrow keys all move it without a carousel library.
  • Vehicle Filter, the faceted panel. Each facet counts the vehicles that would still be available if you ticked it, and the counts come from the same availability engine that decides whether a rental can be taken.
  • Search Form, the short form that starts a search. The branch list and the vehicle types are the ones registered in Driveline Core.
  • Price Table, showing the rates, the deposit and the mileage held against one vehicle, above a line saying that a real price is worked out from the dates.
  • Featured Vehicle, one listing drawn large with its specification.
  • Location Grid, Booking Steps and FAQ, three of the smaller elements drawn one after another down a page.
  • The map before anybody has agreed to it. The element names the tile host it would have to contact, loads no mapping library at all, and links an administrator to the setting that turns it on.

常见问题:

How do I change the markup an element draws?

Copy the file you want from this plugin's vc_templates folder into a vc_templates folder in your theme, keeping the same name, and edit it there. That is WPBakery's own override convention and it applies one file at a time; anything you have not copied keeps using the version here. Result cards, the filter panel and the booking steps are Driveline Core's own templates rather than this plugin's, so those are overridden the way Driveline Core documents, in a driveline folder in your theme. Overriding one changes it everywhere it appears, which is the point.

What happens if I deactivate WPBakery?

The elements keep rendering. They are ordinary shortcodes registered by this plugin rather than by the builder, so a page does not fall back to showing its own square brackets. What goes away is the editor: nothing is offered in the element list until WPBakery is back.

Does this touch WPBakery's own licence screen?

No. WPBakery has a vc_set_as_theme() mode that hides its licence and activation screens, meant for products that ship the builder inside them. You bought WPBakery yourself, so that screen is yours and this plugin leaves it alone. A product that really does bundle the builder can turn the mode on by returning true from the driveline_wpbakery_as_theme filter. WPBakery's updates keep running either way.

Does the map make a request from my site?

Only after you accept the tile host on the Driveline Core map settings screen. Until then the element draws a notice naming the host and loads no mapping library.

Where is the compare list stored?

In the visitor's browser. Nothing is written to the database and no account is needed. The list travels to the comparison table as a query argument, so a comparison can be shared as a link.
