Getting started with Echo Knowledge Base is quick and easy. Choose the installation method that works best for you:
Option 1: Install from WordPress Dashboard (Recommended)
- Log in to your WordPress admin panel
- Navigate to Plugins → Add New
- Search for "Echo Knowledge Base"
- Click "Install Now" next to the plugin
- After installation completes, click "Activate"
- Optional: Configure your knowledge base settings in Knowledge Base → KB Configuration
Option 2: Manual Installation via FTP
- Download the plugin zip file (echo-knowledge-base.zip)
- Extract the zip file to your computer
- Connect to your web server using an FTP client
- Navigate to your WordPress plugins directory (/wp-content/plugins/)
- Upload the 'echo-knowledge-base' folder
- Log in to your WordPress admin panel
- Go to Plugins → Installed Plugins
- Find "Echo Knowledge Base" and click "Activate"

After activation, here’s how to build your knowledge base in minutes:

Create Your First Article:

Go to Knowledge Base → Add New Article.
- Write your content using the WordPress editor (you can include text, images, videos, etc.).
- Assign one or more categories to organize the article.
- Publish the article.

Set Up Your Knowledge Base Layout:

Go to Knowledge Base → KB Configuration.
- Choose a layout design (Basic, Tabs, etc.) that fits your site.
- Customize colors, fonts, and style to match your branding.
- Configure navigation options (for example, enable breadcrumbs, search bar, table of contents, etc.).

Add AI Features (Optional):

Enter your OpenAI API key in the AI settings (this key is needed to enable AI Chatbot and AI Search features).
- Once configured, your AI Chatbot will be live on the front-end and the “Ask AI” option will appear on search result pages.
