ELX Chatbot Connector connects your WooCommerce store with ELX Chatbot for a fast setup and automatic product sync, so AI-powered recommendations stay accurate. Customers can ask questions, discover the right products, check real-time order updates, and get instant answers to FAQs. Customize the chatbot on the ELX Chatbot platform to match your brand, provide helpful support, and turn conversations into sales. This plugin does not provide the chatbot functionality itself. It is the WooCommerce integration layer that connects your store to the ELX Chatbot platform so the platform can use your catalogue and order data. Without this connector, ELX Chatbot does not have access to the store's WooCommerce product information. Once the plugin is installed and connected:
  1. You create an account and chatbot on the ELX Chatbot platform.
  2. You generate an Access Key from your ELX Chatbot account.
  3. You enter that Access Key in WordPress to connect the store.
  4. The plugin generates a JSON product feed from the WooCommerce catalogue.
  5. ELX Chatbot can use that catalogue data to power product-related conversations on the storefront.

  1. Register at app.elxchatbot.ai and create a chatbot.
  2. Generate an Access Key from the ELX Chatbot dashboard.
  3. Install and activate this plugin. WooCommerce is required.
  4. In WordPress, go to Tools > ELX Chatbot Connector.
  5. Enter the Access Key and click Connect & Verify.
  6. Review the feed status and configure the refresh interval if needed.
Once the store is connected, its WooCommerce catalogue becomes available to ELX Chatbot through the generated product feed. Before you install
  1. Create an account at app.elxchatbot.ai.
  2. Create a chatbot in your ELX Chatbot dashboard.
  3. Generate an Access Key for that chatbot.
Install from WordPress
  1. In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins > Add New.
  2. Search for ELX Chatbot Connector.
  3. Click Install Now, then Activate.
  4. Make sure WooCommerce is installed and active.
  5. Go to Tools > ELX Chatbot Connector.
  6. Enter your Access Key and click Connect & Verify.
  7. Confirm the feed status and choose a feed refresh interval if needed.
Install from a ZIP file
  1. Download the plugin ZIP.
  2. Go to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin.
  3. Choose the ZIP file and click Install Now, then activate.
  4. Continue from step 4 in the instructions above.
Manual install
  1. Upload the plugin folder to /wp-content/plugins/.
  2. Activate ELX Chatbot Connector from the Plugins screen.
  3. Continue from step 4 in the WordPress installation instructions above.

What is the ELX Chatbot Connector?

It is the WooCommerce connector for the ELX Chatbot platform. It connects your store, generates a product feed, and helps ELX Chatbot use your catalogue data. The AI chatbot experience itself is provided by the ELX Chatbot platform.

Do I need an ELX Chatbot account?

Yes. You must register on the ELX Chatbot platform, create a chatbot, and generate an Access Key before you can connect this plugin.

Where do I get my Access Key?

Generate it from your ELX Chatbot account after creating a chatbot. Then paste it into Tools > ELX Chatbot Connector in WordPress and click Connect & Verify.

Does this plugin require WooCommerce?

Yes. This plugin is a WooCommerce integration and will not run without WooCommerce active.

Does this plugin provide the AI chatbot?

No. This plugin provides the WooCommerce integration (connection, product feed, and related storefront script loading). The AI conversations, bot training, branding tools, and related chatbot features are provided by the ELX Chatbot platform.

What product data does ELX Chatbot use?

The plugin generates a JSON product feed from your published WooCommerce catalogue. The feed includes product details such as name, description, SKU, pricing, stock availability, categories/tags, images, URLs, and variation data where applicable.

Can ELX Chatbot access order information through this plugin?

Yes. After the store is connected, ELX Chatbot can look up an order through a JWT-authenticated REST endpoint (/wp-json/elx/v1/order-by-email and /wp-json/elxchatbot/v1/order-by-email) using the order ID/number and the customer's billing email. The plugin also provides cart-related REST endpoints used by the integration.

Does the plugin support product variations?

Yes. Variable WooCommerce products and their variations are included in the generated product feed.

Can the product feed update automatically?

Yes. After connecting, you can set the feed refresh interval to hourly, daily, weekly, or monthly, and you can refresh the feed manually from the settings page.

Does it work with any WordPress theme?

Yes. The connector and product feed do not depend on a specific theme. The storefront chatbot widget is loaded by the plugin after a successful connection and should work with standard WordPress/WooCommerce themes.

Is the ELX Chatbot platform open source?

No. The ELX Chatbot SaaS platform, backend, APIs, and related services are proprietary products of EchoLogyx. They are not open source. This WordPress.org plugin is a separate WooCommerce connector. WordPress.org requires plugins in its directory to use a GPL-compatible license, so this connector is distributed under GPLv3 (or later). That requirement applies to the plugin code hosted on WordPress.org. It does not make the ELX Chatbot SaaS platform, backend, or APIs open source.
