Expand2017 adds 10 new features to Automattic's Twenty Seventeen Theme
General
- Adds more 'sections' to the home (static) page
- If you're using a one-page layout, quickly and easily add a dynamic menu to let visitors magically jump between sections
- Posts are organised in the dashboard by colour depending on their status (published, draft, pending, private, scheduled)
- If a user's search result only returns one post, the user will be redirected to that post
- Adds pretty permalinks for search results
- Anytime a Twitter user is mentioned using @twitterusername, it'll automatically be converted to a link to their profile
- Adds 8 new contact methods to the WordPress profile
- Limits post revisions to 10 to keep your database happy

What is a dynamic menu?
If you've set your homepage to a static page with various sections, a dynamic menu would allow readers - once they click a menu item - to jump to the relevant sections of the page without having to manually scroll
How do I set up a dynamic menu?
- Set up your static homepage with the sections you want, e.g. 'About', 'Contact Us'
- Using custom links, add the sections you want to your menu. So for the 'About' section, you'd add a custom link with the URL as #about, and for 'Contact Us', you'd add a custom link with the URL as #contact-us
- See the results on your homepage
