Felix Serial Number Warranty and License For WooCommerce lets you assign a unique serial number to each unit of a WooCommerce product — automatically at checkout, or by hand from a pre-generated pool — and gives you a dedicated admin screen to search, filter, and manage every serial number you've ever issued.
Free features:
- Enable serial numbers per product (Simple and Variable products supported).
- One serial number per ordered unit, assigned automatically at checkout.
- Auto-generate serial numbers using a configurable prefix, suffix, length, and character set — or paste in your own pre-made list.
- A searchable, filterable (by product or status) admin list of every serial number, with add/edit/delete.
- Manually add or override a serial number on the order edit screen — useful for orders placed before a product had serial numbers enabled.
- Serial numbers are always visible to the admin on the order edit screen, and optionally shown to customers in order emails and their My Account order view.
- A serial number that's never been used is automatically released back to the pool if its order is cancelled or refunded.

- Upload the plugin to
/wp-content/plugins/, or install it directly from the Plugins > Add New screen in your WordPress admin. - Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress.
- Make sure WooCommerce is installed and active — this plugin requires it.
- Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Serial Numbers to configure the default status and auto-generation rules.
- Open any Simple or Variable product's edit screen, go to the "Serial Number" tab under Product data, and check "Enable serial numbers for this product".

Does this work with variable products?
Yes. All of a variable product's variations share one serial number pool tied to the parent product.
Can my customers see their serial numbers?
Yes, if you leave the "Show in order emails" and "Show on order details page" settings on (both default to on). You can turn either off if you'd rather manage serial numbers internally.
What happens to a serial number if an order is cancelled or refunded?
If it was never used (still in "Assigned" status), it's automatically released back to the available pool for the next order. Already-activated licenses/warranties are handled by the Pro version according to your own revoke-on-refund setting.
What's the difference between the Free and Pro versions?
The Free version covers core serial number assignment, generation, and display. The Pro version adds license key management (activation, renewals, an external API), warranty tracking, per-product custom generation rules, stock sync, bulk generation, CSV import/export, printable slips, resending notification emails, and webhooks.
