Rare animated HEIF sequences (msf1) preserve animation in WebP when WebP is enabled and compatible FFmpeg support is available; otherwise the plugin creates static first-frame output in enabled formats. AVIF output is static. Apple Live Photos (HEIC + paired MOV) are not supported as combined assets. Undecodable HEIC/HEIF files appear as Failed in Media Library.
