Food Info Nutrition Labels

Food Info Nutrition Labels adds a clean, accurate nutrition label to your recipe posts, calculated from your own country's official food database. Every country's food scientists log regional variations in food, so a UK, Australian or French recipe ends up with numbers that reflect a different nutritional outcome. This plugin picks your national database automatically:

• United Kingdom: CoFID (McCance & Widdowson's)
• United States: USDA FoodData Central
• Australia: AUSNUT
• France: Ciqual
• Denmark: Frida

…and falls back across all five so nothing goes unmatched. How it works. Add the "Food Info Nutrition Labels" block to a recipe, paste your ingredient list, choose servings and your country, and click Calculate. You get a full label, per serving and per 100 g, that you can publish as-is. The nutrition is worked out once, when you click Calculate, and saved into the post, so your page loads stay fast and never depend on an outside service. Free. • The label now shows which recipe it is for. Enter a name on the block, or leave it blank and the post title is used.

• The optional credit link now carries a marker identifying it as coming from this plugin, so we can tell how many visits it actually sends. The marker records which link was clicked and nothing about who clicked it.

• Corrected the list of supported national databases. Canada (CNF) and Finland (Fineli) were offered in the country picker but hold no data yet, so selecting them returned US or UK figures under a Canadian or Finnish heading. Both are removed until their data is live.
• Denmark (Frida) is now listed and labelled properly. It was already supported but missing from the country list.
• The optional credit setting now shows you exactly what the credit looks like before you turn it on, and explains plainly that the plugin behaves identically if you leave it off.
