Fortrydelsesknap.dk Withdrawal Button

From 19 June 2026 every website selling to EU consumers must offer a digital withdrawal button ("withdraw from contract here"). This is required by Directive (EU) 2023/2673 (new Art. 11a of the Consumer Rights Directive). A missing button can extend the consumer's withdrawal right by 12 months. This plugin is developed and maintained by Fortrydelsesknap.dk. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the European Union. Who needs this? • New: landing on a URL with #fortryd (e.g. a link in your order confirmation e-mail: https://yourshop.com/#fortryd) now opens the withdrawal form directly. Menu items and links keep working as before.

• No functional changes to the button or the withdrawal flow. As always, the plugin sends no data anywhere — these are plain links.

• Removed the "draggable button" option. It could leave the button stuck where a visitor had moved it - even after the option was switched off - because the position was remembered in the visitor's browser. The button now always stays exactly where you place it, and any old remembered position is cleared automatically.

You can now override the button label, the form heading and the "you are withdrawing from ..." line - for example use "purchase" instead of "contract". Leave the fields blank to keep the legally safe default wording. Use the friendly [shop] tag where the shop name should appear.
