详情介绍:

Since the ruling of the German Federal Court of Justice of March 26, 2026 (BGH, I ZR 74/25), public advertising for medical cannabis treatments is prohibited in Germany — even the promotional naming of treatable conditions can trigger a costly cease-and-desist letter (Abmahnung). HWG Check scans your posts, pages and WooCommerce products for typical risk patterns under the German Act on Advertising in the Healthcare System (Heilmittelwerbegesetz, HWG) and shows you: Detected risk patterns (selection) Features Who is this for? Pharmacies with a cannabis assortment, telemedicine providers, medical practices, care facilities, CBD shops, health blogs, and agencies maintaining healthcare websites in the covered jurisdictions. The interface follows your WordPress language setting; translations are provided via translate.wordpress.org. Important notice HWG Check performs automated detection of typical risk patterns. It is not legal advice, does not guarantee completeness, and does not provide a binding legal assessment. Menus, widgets, footers, images and external embeds are not scanned. For specific questions, consult a law firm specialized in German healthcare advertising law. HWG Check is a free tool by Leema — digital support for medical cannabis therapy.

常见问题:

Is my content transferred to an external server?

No. The entire analysis runs locally inside your WordPress installation as pattern detection. There are no external requests, no tracking and no registration.

Is the result a legal assessment?

No. The plugin detects typical risk patterns based on the HWG and current German case law. Whether a specific wording is permissible in an individual case depends on context and belongs in the hands of a lawyer.

Why might a finding be a false positive?

Automated pattern detection cannot fully capture context — for example quotes from court rulings or journalistic reporting. Always review findings editorially.

Does the plugin scan menus, widgets and images?

No. Currently the title, content, excerpt/short description and SEO meta description of posts, pages and products are scanned.

Is this relevant for CBD shops?

HWG rules apply as soon as products are advertised with health-related claims. Many patterns (efficacy promises, testimonials, indication advertising) are also relevant for over-the-counter products; additionally, food law (health claims regulation) applies there, which this plugin does not cover.

In which languages is the user interface available?

The interface is English by default and follows your WordPress language setting (Settings -> General -> Site Language). Translations (German, French and further languages) are delivered through translate.wordpress.org and installed automatically by WordPress. The rule packs are independent of the interface language: they always match the jurisdiction you select.

Does this work for Austria and Switzerland?

Yes. The detected risk patterns are identical across the German-speaking countries (public advertising for prescription medicines is tightly restricted everywhere). In the settings you can select Austria (AMG) or Switzerland (HMG/AWV) so findings show the legal references of your jurisdiction. Note that some explanation texts reference German case law, whose reasoning is transferable but not binding abroad.

Does this work for the US and the rest of the EU?

Yes, with a clearly defined scope. EU mode and US mode scan English-language content with their own rule sets. EU mode is based on the EU-wide framework every member state implements (Art. 88 Directive 2001/83/EC — no public advertising of prescription-only medicines — and the Health Claims Regulation for CBD foods). US mode covers the federal layer (FDA unapproved-drug claims, FTC substantiation and endorsement rules) plus rules found in nearly every state advertising code (no health claims, no appeal to minors, no free samples). Individual US states and EU member states have additional rules this plugin cannot fully represent — the interface says so clearly. Content in other EU languages (French, Polish, Italian, ...) is not yet supported.

Does this work for Israel?

Yes. Israel mode scans Hebrew-language content with its own rule set. Advertising a dangerous drug — including medical cannabis — to the public is a criminal offence under the Israeli Dangerous Drugs Ordinance, and licensed operators are additionally bound by Ministry of Health / Medical Cannabis Unit (Yakar) marketing directives. The rules flag efficacy claims, condition-targeted marketing, promotions and discounts, fast-prescription promises, testimonials, strain menus, healing promises, physician endorsements, content appealing to minors and recreational/lifestyle framing — each with the Hebrew legal reference and a compliant rewording suggestion in Hebrew. The admin interface itself is shown in English in Israel mode.

Do the scheduled scans send my data anywhere?

No. Scheduled scans run locally via WP-Cron exactly like manual scans. The optional notification e-mail is sent by your own WordPress installation to the address you configure.
