- Install and activate the plugin from the WordPress Plugins screen, or upload the plugin folder to
/wp-content/plugins/. - Go to WooCommerce → Lexware.
- Enter your Lexware Public API key and click Test Connection.
- Choose draft or finalized invoices, tax options, and checkout USt-IdNr settings.
- Open an order and create a Lexware invoice.

Where do I find my Lexware API key?
Log in to Lexware Office, open Public API key management, and create a key: https://app.lexware.de/addons/public-api Keys are typically valid for 24 months and can be renewed in the same screen.
Does this plugin create invoices automatically?
The free version creates invoices manually from the order screen. Automatic invoices, credit notes on refunds, email PDFs, and bulk actions are available in the Pro version.

Can my customers download their invoice?
Yes. Once a Lexware invoice exists for the order, customers can download the PDF from My Account → Orders → View order.
Does this work with the latest WooCommerce?
Yes. The plugin works with modern WooCommerce, including the newer order storage and block checkout.
Why only EUR?
Lexware currently accepts EUR only for invoices. Orders in other currencies are skipped with a clear message in the admin.
Can I mark invoices as paid from WooCommerce?
No. Payment status in Lexware is read-only through the Public API. Mark invoices as paid in Lexware Office.
What happens when I uninstall the plugin?
Plugin settings are removed unless you enable Keep data on uninstall. Links between orders and Lexware documents stay on the order, and invoices already in Lexware are not deleted.
