- Make sure WooCommerce is installed and active.
- Go to Plugins > Add New, search for AI Product Manager for WooCommerce, then click Install Now and Activate. You are taken to the plugin Dashboard.
- Click Create a product with AI in the welcome message, or open any product (Products > Add New, or edit an existing one).
- Find the AI Product Manager panel near the top of the product editor, and the AI Product Image box in the sidebar.
- Describe your product in a few words, then click Generate on any tab such as Description, Short Desc, Tags or SEO. Click Check Health Score for the Health Score.
- Review, edit if needed, then Update or Publish.
- To check your whole catalog, open AI Product Manager > All Products Scanner. For rich results, open AI Product Manager > Product Schema.

Do I need an API key, OpenAI account or ChatGPT subscription?
No. The plugin connects to the JCodex API, which handles AI processing for you. Install it and start generating.
Is the free version really free?
Yes. The Health Score, the All Products Scanner and the Product Schema Generator are free and unlimited. Each content type also has its own free allowance of 10 generations per month, refreshed on a rolling 30-day cycle. Anything you've already generated stays in place.
What happens when I use up my free generations?
You'll be offered an upgrade to Pro for unlimited generation. If you don't upgrade, your allowance refreshes with the next cycle.
Can I regenerate a result without using another credit?
Yes. Click Generate again with the same prompt, tone, length and audience within 15 minutes and it counts as a free regenerate.
What is the Product Health Score?
A free score out of 100 for each product, covering content, SEO, images and conversion. Click Check Health Score on a named product and each item is marked done, weak or missing. In Pro, One-Click Regenerate All writes whatever is flagged.
Can it scan my whole catalog for missing content?
Yes. The All Products Scanner is free and unlimited. It reports missing titles, descriptions, SEO titles, meta descriptions, images, alt text, FAQs, tags, categories, attributes, SKUs, prices, brands and GTIN/MPN, plus short or duplicate descriptions, with a Health Score for every product.
What happened to the Missing Content Scanner?
It was merged with the Product Scanner into the All Products Scanner. Old links open the new page.
What does the Product Schema Generator do?
It adds brand, GTIN, MPN and item condition to the Product structured data your store already prints, so Google can show richer results. It does not add a second Product block and never overwrites values that WooCommerce, Rank Math or Yoast WooCommerce SEO already set.
Does it work with Yoast SEO, Rank Math or All in One SEO?
Yes, and also with SEOPress, The SEO Framework and SmartCrawl. Click Apply to SEO Fields after you generate and the SEO title and meta description are written into the active SEO plugin.
What if I don't use an SEO plugin?
The plugin provides its own SEO title and meta description fields, saves them with the product when you click Update or Publish, and prints them on the product page.
How do I generate content for many products at once?
With the AI Bulk Generator in Pro. Run it on selected products, a category or your whole catalog. Replaced content is backed up for 30 days. Pro's Scheduled AI Optimization can also improve your weakest products automatically every day, week or month.
Can I import a product from Amazon or AliExpress?
No. The plugin does not fetch products from a URL. You can paste your own notes or supplier text and let the AI write unique content, or use AI Product Creator (Pro) to turn a short brief into a draft product.
Does it support multiple languages?
Yes. Generated content follows your WordPress site language, or the language you pick under AI Product Manager > Dashboard > Content Language. Pro can also translate a block of product content into another language. It does not create or sync WPML or Polylang translations.
Does it add image alt text automatically?
Yes. Every generated image gets alt text from the product title (or your image prompt if the product has no title yet).
Do I need to upload a photo to generate an image?
No. Describe the shot. Uploading a product photo is optional and helps the AI match your product.
Where are generated images saved?
In your Media Library, set as the featured image with alt text applied.
Does it work with the new block-based product editor?
The panel is built for the standard WooCommerce product editor. If you switch on WooCommerce's new block-based product editor, WooCommerce shows a notice that this plugin is not compatible with it yet.
Can I edit AI content before publishing?
Yes. Descriptions and short descriptions land in the editor for you to change. Tags and SEO fields are applied when you click Apply. Generated images are saved to the Media Library straight away.
Is Pro really unlimited?
Pro removes the monthly allowances. A generous fair-use limit per site keeps the service fast for every store; normal store use never reaches it.
Will it slow down my store?
No. AI calls happen only in wp-admin. The store front only gets optional SEO tags and schema data, and no calls to the JCodex API.
Is it GDPR friendly?
The plugin sends your public site URL, a random install ID and the prompts built from your product content. No customer personal data, orders or visitor analytics are collected or transmitted. See the JCodex Privacy Policy for details.
