- Fill in a letter or form right on your page: names, dates, amounts, the details of their case.
- Use a live Excel calculator. They change the input cells and the totals update as they type.
- Edit a presentation. A pitch deck, a lesson or a report: they change the slides and download .pptx or a PDF.
- Print it or download it as a Word, Excel or PowerPoint file they can send, sign or keep.
- Do it on a phone. The light "web page" view is made for small screens.

Is it free?
Yes. Embedding catalog documents is free.
Do my visitors need an account?
No. Visitors fill in, print and download without signing in. They can save a copy to their own Layers account if they want to keep editing later.
Does it work on phones?
Yes. Choose the "Web page" view (the default) for letters and forms: it is a light page made for small screens. Excel calculators also open on phones in the spreadsheet editor; visitors tap a cell, type a number and see the totals update.
Can I use it with Elementor or another page builder?
Yes. Any builder that runs shortcodes works: add its Shortcode widget or block and paste [layers-doc slug="your-template"]. In the block editor, use the "Layers document" block.
Which languages are in the catalog?
28 languages, from English, Spanish, French and Arabic to Japanese, Korean and Vietnamese. In Settings → Layers Doc Embed you can limit the block picker to one language. The documents keep their own language; the plugin's own screens are in English and can be translated.
Can I embed my own .docx, .xlsx or .pptx?
Not through this plugin: it embeds documents from the public Layers catalog. To embed your own file, upload it to your Layers account, publish it and use the embed code Layers gives you.
Does it work with Excel macros (VBA)?
Catalog calculators use ordinary formulas and recalculate in the browser. Macro support depends on the document; check it on layers.md first.
Can I change a catalog document before embedding it?
The block embeds the catalog version as it is. Your visitors' changes stay in their own copy and do not change the page for anyone else.
Does the frame need a cookie banner?
The frame sets only the cookies the document needs to work (no advertising, no analytics). Check your local rules for your own site.
