- Install, activate and configure one supported booking plugin: MotoPress Hotel Booking Lite/Premium, WP Hotel Booking by ThimPress 2.3.4+, or VikBooking 1.8.15+.
- Install Bold Front Desk from Plugins → Add New, or upload its ZIP via Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin. Activate it.
- Open Bold Plugins → Front Desk, or use Settings in the Bold Front Desk plugin row.
- With one compatible engine and no saved choice, selection is automatic. With multiple engines, choose the required source and click Save booking engine. An existing saved choice is never silently replaced.
- Click Open Front Desk. Use Today, Calendar and Bookings to view the selected source.

常见问题:
Do I need to buy a booking plugin?
No. The connectors support free MotoPress Hotel Booking Lite, free WP Hotel Booking by ThimPress and free VikBooking. Your booking system must already be configured and have its own bookings. MotoPress Premium is also supported.
Can I combine multiple booking systems in one overview?
No. An administrator selects one engine at a time. Switching the selection changes the displayed source; it does not copy or migrate reservations between engines.
Is this a replacement for my booking engine?
No. Booking creation, availability, prices, payments and guest emails remain in your booking engine. Bold Front Desk Lite provides read-only reception views.
Why does Paid or Outstanding show Not available?
The WP Hotel Booking connector does not expose payment allocations. For other connectors, amounts are shown only when the source contains the required values. A booking status is not used to invent a paid amount.
Why is Today empty while I have bookings?
Today shows arrivals, ongoing stays and departures for the current date in your WordPress timezone. A future demo booking appears in Bookings and in the calendar period containing its stay dates.
What happens if the selected booking plugin is inactive or incompatible?
Front Desk shows setup guidance instead of booking data. Administrators can follow Choose booking engine to the selector, or restore the saved engine. The saved choice stays unchanged until an administrator explicitly selects another compatible source.
Can I use it with WooCommerce Bookings?
WooCommerce Bookings is not enabled in this public release. Its experimental connector is still awaiting integration testing with the paid official extension. Installing WooCommerce alone is not sufficient.
Front Desk will not open. What should I check?
Open it using the plugin's Open Front Desk link; this chooses the appropriate URL for your permalink setup. Confirm that you are signed in, have native booking-view permission and have a compatible active engine selected. If a session expires, sign in again. If data requests fail, check whether a security plugin or hosting rule blocks the authenticated WordPress REST API. Include these details when contacting support.
