MarqueeX is a free WordPress marquee plugin. It adds continuously scrolling content — scrolling text, news tickers, logo carousels, image marquees, post and WooCommerce product sliders, testimonials and team strips — as 8 native Elementor widgets and 5 native blocks for the block editor (Gutenberg).
There is no marquee limit, no watermark and no trial timer in the free version. You drop a widget or block on the page, add your content, set the speed and publish.

- CSS keyframe animation. The marquee widgets and blocks scroll with CSS, so the browser does the work instead of a JavaScript loop.
- Tiny scripts. Each Elementor marquee widget script is under 1 KB.
- Loads only where it is used. Scripts and styles are registered, not enqueued site-wide. A page without a marquee loads nothing from MarqueeX.
- Switch off what you do not use. Disable any widget, block or whole builder integration from the settings screen and it stops registering.

How do I add a scrolling text marquee in WordPress?
Install MarqueeX, edit a page, and add the Text Marquee block (block editor) or the Text Marquee widget (Elementor). Type your messages, pick a speed and direction, and publish. No code or shortcode is needed.
How do I add a news ticker in WordPress?
Add the News Ticker block or Elementor widget. Set the label (for example "Breaking"), then either type your headlines or let it pull the titles of your latest posts automatically.
How do I make a logo carousel or infinite logo slider?
Use the Image Marquee block or widget. Select your logos from the media library and they scroll in a seamless, never-ending loop. You control the speed, spacing, image height and whether it pauses on hover.
Is MarqueeX free?
Yes, and it stays usable for free. There is no limit on how many marquees you build, no watermark, and no feature that stops working after a period. Pro adds extra controls; it does not switch the free ones off.
What do I get with MarqueeX Pro?
Scroll interactions (mouse wheel and drag-to-scroll), hand-picked posts and the advanced post query, eight extra Animated Heading animations, gradient and image-masked heading text, four extra Word Roller transitions, and the Post Marquee card layout controls. The full list is on the pricing page.
Will my marquees break if I upgrade to Pro, or cancel it?
No. Pro is an add-on that sits alongside the free plugin. Upgrading adds controls to the marquees you already have. Without an active license, a marquee simply falls back to its free behaviour.
Does MarqueeX work with Elementor?
Yes — eight native widgets: Image Marquee, Text Marquee, Post Marquee, News Ticker, Animated Heading, Animated Word Roller, Testimonial Marquee and Team Members Marquee. Elementor 3.5 or newer is required. The free version of Elementor is enough.
Does MarqueeX work with the block editor (Gutenberg) and Full Site Editing?
Yes — five native blocks that work in posts, pages and Full Site Editing templates. You do not need a page builder.
Can I use the widgets and the blocks on the same site?
Yes. Block styles are scoped to their own classes, so a block and its matching Elementor widget can even sit on the same page without their CSS colliding.
Can I show WooCommerce products in a marquee?
Yes. Products are a public custom post type, so the Post Marquee widget and block both list them as a source, with featured image, title and meta.
Does Post Marquee support custom post types?
Yes, any public custom post type.
Can I make a vertical marquee?
Yes. Every marquee can scroll horizontally or vertically, in either direction.
Can I control the speed, and pause the marquee on hover?
Yes. Every marquee has a speed control, and pause on hover is a single switch.
Will a marquee slow my site down?
It is built not to. The marquees scroll with CSS keyframes, each Elementor marquee widget script is under 1 KB, and assets are registered rather than enqueued — so a page with no marquee on it loads nothing from MarqueeX.
Is MarqueeX accessible?
Marquees respect the visitor's "reduce motion" setting and can pause on hover, so moving content can always be stopped and read.
Does it work with my theme?
It should. MarqueeX styles are scoped to its own classes and inherit your theme's typography unless you override it.

- Fixed: "Comment Count" in the Post Marquee block's Order By did nothing on the front end and left the editor preview loading forever.

- Fixed: The Elementor integration test on the settings screen passed on Elementor 3.0–3.4, where the widgets cannot register. It now uses the same 3.5 minimum as the integration itself.

It also no longer writes plugin marketing copy into your page description when there is no marquee text to summarize.
