MickSystems - Boussole Conformité

Boussole Conformité is a lightweight assistant for WordPress site owners running a micro-entreprise in France. It covers the whole journey, not just the paperwork that comes once a site is live:

• Getting started right — a self-checked "Parcours entrepreneurial" section covering business status thresholds, business registration (SIRET), the ACRE start-up aid, dedicated bank account rules, professional insurance, home-based business lease/insurance checks, the CFE property tax, and often-missed professional training rights. Each point links to an official government source.
• Legal documents — after a short questionnaire, the plugin generates a personalized checklist and drafts your legal notices, T&Cs, terms of use, and privacy policy as WordPress page drafts you review and publish yourself.
• An internal, non-published GDPR processing register (Art. 30), generated from your answers and meant to be printed or kept for your own records.
• Ongoing awareness — the plugin re-checks its plugin detection on every dashboard visit (WooCommerce, payment providers, analytics and cookie tools, even generic "custom code" trackers) and flags a published document for review if your answers or your site's tools change afterwards.

Boussole Conformité always stays in an advisory role: it informs and points you to official sources, it never replaces a lawyer or accountant, and it never publishes anything on your behalf.

• Fix: the 1.5.0 prefix rename accidentally renamed the "bc-questionnaire" and "bc-registre" CSS classes and element IDs too, since those strings were also (coincidentally) used as script/style handles. The stylesheets were intentionally left untouched during the rename, so the questionnaire grid and the processing register lost their layout entirely. Reverted the CSS classes and IDs back to "bc-"; the script/style handles and admin page slugs correctly stay "mickboco-".

• Fix (WordPress.org review): the "bc"/"BC_" prefix used on all classes, functions, constants, the option name, transients, script/style handles, localized JS objects, and admin-post actions was too short (under 5 characters) and could collide with other plugins. Renamed everywhere to "mickboco"/"MICKBOCO_", consistent with the reviewer's own suggested example. Note: because the saved-data option key itself was renamed as part of this fix, existing installs will start with a blank profile after updating — this is a one-time reset caused by the required renaming, not a bug.

• Change: plugin slug renamed to "micksystems-boussole-conformite", consistent with the WordPress.org slugs of the other Mick Systems plugins (micksystems-droit-de-retractation-for-woocommerce, micksystems-livre-de-recettes). The folder name, main plugin file, and text domain were all updated accordingly. If you're upgrading from an earlier version, deactivate the old "boussole-conformite" folder and install this one fresh — your saved data (stored in a single wp_options entry, unrelated to the slug) is preserved either way.

• Change: plugin listing name updated to "MickSystems - Boussole Conformité", for consistency with the naming convention used across the other Mick Systems plugins. The slug, text domain, and the in-app dashboard widget title (kept short on purpose) are unaffected.

• Confirmed compatibility with WordPress 7.1 "Mary Lou" — the plugin only ever generates standard core Gutenberg blocks (paragraph, heading, list, table, separator, quote), so it is unaffected by 7.1's enforced iframe editor mode and Block API v3 requirement, which only concern custom-registered blocks.
• Housekeeping: synced the plugin header description with the current, broader scope of the plugin (it had been left over from before the "Parcours entrepreneurial" section was added).

• Improvement: the "SIRET obtenu" explainer now reassures that a mistake noticed after registration is almost never permanent — most company details are corrected for free through a follow-up formality, while fiscal options like the versement libératoire go through a separate channel with their own deadlines.

• New: two more "Parcours entrepreneurial" points — a reminder about the 24-consecutive-month automatic deregistration rule for zero turnover (confirmed against the official URSSAF source), and a plain-language explainer on the "versement libératoire" flat-rate tax option, including who it actually benefits.

• Change: reverted the e-invoicing obligation back to a simple "Voir" link to the official deadline page, since the plugin has nothing actionable to offer for it — the manual "mark as done" confirmation added in 1.2.3 implied an action that doesn't really exist here.

• Improvement: the consumer mediator obligation is now checked off automatically as soon as you enter your own mediator's name in the Assistant — no manual click needed. Until then, it keeps its original "Voir" link to the official directory. • Improvement: the médiateur de la consommation reminder now recognizes when you've already entered your own mediator's name and details, and switches to a short confirmation ("you've already indicated X, make sure it's still up to date") instead of the generic explainer.

• New: detection also scans the homepage's actual HTML for known analytics/tag manager signatures (Google Analytics/GTM, Matomo), so tracking added through a generic "custom code" plugin is caught too, not just dedicated analytics plugins. Cached for 12 hours; never assumes tracking is present if the check fails.
• New: internal, non-published GDPR Article 30 processing register, generated from your answers.
• Improvement: legal document content is noticeably more complete (order confirmation, no-refund and personal-use clauses for digital goods, EU data transfer notice when analytics is detected, full breakdown of collected data as a table, etc.), while staying strictly generic — no assumptions about your specific business beyond what you declared.
• Fix: the plugin version shown on the Plugins screen no longer lags behind the internal version used for cache-busting.
