Motto Blocks

Tagline: Advanced blocks. Reusable styling. Motto Blocks gives you advanced blocks and a reusable, responsive styling system for modern WordPress sites, making it easier to build consistent layouts, manage shared styles, and keep design decisions scalable.

• Security: the derived frontend CSS is no longer an editable post meta. It was computed by the editor and could be written through the REST API by anyone able to edit the post; the server now builds it alone.
• Wildcards: a token that names another post (${POST_META:key@123}, @parent) only resolves if that post is viewable by the person looking at the page, so drafts, private posts and password-protected posts no longer leak. Protected meta keys (starting with an underscore) are refused when read from another post and keep working on the current one. New filters: motto_blocks_wildcard_source_post_viewable and motto_blocks_wildcard_allowed_protected_meta.
• Blocks tab: a disabled block is now hidden from the editor inserter instead of being unregistered. Content that already uses it keeps working.
• Styler: editing a reusable class updates the frontend right away instead of one save later, and a user who cannot read the class registry no longer has class references rewritten when selecting a block. Draft and private classes no longer affect a published block's layout.
• Performance: pages without Styler CSS are cached instead of being rebuilt on every view.
• Accordion: the trigger and panel blocks are registered on the server like the rest of the family.
• Translations: the editor interface strings can now be translated.

• Classic Menu: menu item titles now render the HTML that other plugins add to them, such as the language switcher flags and labels from Polylang, instead of showing the markup as literal text. The nav_menu_item_title filter is now applied too.
• Styler: a block's default styles now follow the resolved defaults attribute, and the class editor reacts to resizing more reliably.

• Image: Motto Image now renders inside a <figure> and supports an optional caption.
• Slider: shared slider pipeline (navigation, selected-slide handling and server-rendered Swiper settings) and fixes for effect shadows, slide state classes and single-slide effects. Hosts can declare a custom slide class with data-slide-class.
• Styler: the width control no longer forces !important in the editor, Block Spacing controls refresh correctly when switching breakpoints, and the Styles panel code was reorganized.
• CSS variables: block variables now use the --motto-{block}-{property} naming (List, Button, Classic Menu, Tabs). The previous names, such as --bullet-size or --menu-gap, keep working in saved content and Custom CSS.
• Directory listing: Slide, Tab Container and Tab Panels no longer appear in the Plugin Directory block list.

• Developer API: new motto_blocks_enqueue_scripts_for_content() and motto_blocks_enqueue_scripts_for_template_part() let themes and plugins load a block's frontend scripts when they render blocks outside the post content (the JavaScript counterpart of the Styler CSS helpers). Fixes Classic Menu submenus not opening on mobile in such setups.
