Tide Chart helps WordPress site owners publish tide information directly on their websites through a shortcode-based tide display for marine and coastal use cases. The plugin is built for websites such as: After activation, Tide Chart adds an admin workflow where you can review the plugin terms, select a station, save your settings, and manage the plugin's service-backed setup. On the front end, Tide Chart renders tide output directly inside WordPress content through a shortcode-based display. Tide Chart requires the Nestides hosted service for tide predictions, station lookup, service-plan and usage information, and administrator-initiated account functions. See the External Services section below for details about the services contacted, when they are contacted, and what data is sent. Tide Chart uses NOAA-derived tide prediction data through the Nestides service. NOAA is not affiliated with, and does not endorse, this plugin.

安装:

  1. Upload the plugin ZIP through Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin, or place the plugin folder in /wp-content/plugins/.
  2. Activate Tide Chart in WordPress.
  3. Open the Tide Chart admin page.
  4. Review and accept the plugin terms.
  5. Choose a station and save your settings.
  6. Add the shortcode to a page or post, then publish or update the page.
Configure and save a tide station before using the shortcode on a live page.

How do I display tides on my site?

Add the [tide_data] shortcode to the page or post where you want the tide display to appear. You can optionally pass a station and a range from 1 to 30 days.

Does Tide Chart require an external service?

Yes. Tide Chart requires the Nestides hosted service for its core tide and station functionality and for service-plan, usage, checkout, and account-management functions. The External Services section below explains these connections in detail.

Does Tide Chart work without the Nestides service?

No. Tide Chart is service-backed and requires the Nestides service for its core tide and station functionality.

What happens if I uninstall Tide Chart?

By default, uninstalling Tide Chart removes its station, display, and terms-related settings while preserving the installation identifier and API key so a reinstall can reconnect to the existing service identity. If the "Delete all plugin data on uninstall" option is enabled before uninstalling, Tide Chart also removes its stored service identity and plugin-owned options.
