Automatic installation Automatic installation is the easiest option as WordPress handles the file transfers itself and you do not need to leave your web browser. To do an automatic install of the WooCommerce Openbucks plugin, log in to your WordPress dashboard, navigate to the "Plugins" menu and click "Add New". In the search field type "Openbucks WooCommerce Payment Gateway" and click "Search Plugins". Once you have found our plugin, you can view details such as the point release, rating, and description and install it by simply clicking "Install Now", then "Activate". Manual installation The manual installation method involves downloading our plugin and uploading it to your web server via your favorite FTP application. The WordPress codex contains instructions on how to do this here. Updating We provide automatic updates but we recommend that you always backup your site as well.

What does Openbucks do?

Openbucks has partnered with major retailers in the U.S. such as CVS/Pharmacy and Dollar General to make both gift card and cash payments available for online goods and services.

How does the Openbucks payment platform work?

On the merchant checkout page customers select to pay with "Cash and Gift Cards". The customer is then directed to the Openbucks payment platform to choose their gift card payment option and enter their card/PIN number when prompted. Openbucks collects funding information from the customer, completes the transaction and sends a payment notification (postback) to the merchant to deliver the goods.

Which currencies and payment methods are supported with the Openbucks plugin?

We support transactions in $USD from CVS/Pharmacy with 9,800+ locations and Dollar General with 15,200+ locations.
