[apofw_message], to put the basket message anywhereThe product goes back to selling normally: the button says Add to basket again and the expected date comes off. Orders already placed move from awaiting release to due, and you mark them released from the order screen once the goods have gone. Pro can do that last part for you on the morning they are due.
Leave it blank. The product still sells as a pre-order, and the storefront says you will confirm a date rather than inventing one. You can set the date later and the customer's order picks it up.
Not in the free version. A basket holding both is refused with the message you write, because the alternative is a shop holding a parcel back for six weeks or paying to post two. Pro allows it, and asks the customer whether they would rather wait for one parcel or have the in-stock part now.
Yes. The date you set on the product applies to all of its variations. Pro gives each variation a date, and a stock line to sell on the shelf while its siblings are on pre-order.
Yes. A basket that cannot go through is reported through WooCommerce's Store API, so the block cart and checkout refuse to proceed and show the same message.
No. Express payment flows are also blocked when the basket does not meet the pre-order rules. The buttons stay on the basket, so a customer can read why the order is not going through, but the order itself is refused while the basket holds something that cannot be ordered. Any other flow that builds its order through WooCommerce's checkout is refused there too.
Yes. Everything written to an order goes through WooCommerce's own order data, so HPOS shops are fully supported.
The plugin steps aside and shows a notice. It does not fatally error, and your settings and your products' dates are waiting when WooCommerce comes back.
No. It is free to use for as long as you like, needs no key, and never contacts PluginCity.
