Posoria Lite is a free WooCommerce point of sale (POS) for retail shops, boutiques, and online stores that also sell in person. It runs inside your existing WordPress admin, rings up sales from your existing WooCommerce products, and creates a real WooCommerce order for every sale — so your stock, taxes, and reports all stay in one place. No order limits. No trial timer. No license key. Posoria Lite is fully self-hosted: it does not phone home and does not send your data to any external service. Built for reliability. Many POS plugins create conflicts — duplicate orders, stock that drifts, or sales with no order and no payment recorded. Posoria does not. Every sale is created through WooCommerce's own order API, so stock is reduced correctly, the payment is recorded, and the order appears in WooCommerce exactly like an online order. Install and activate WooCommerce 8.0 or later.
Install Posoria Lite from the WordPress plugin directory (or upload the zip via Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin).
Activate the plugin.
Go to POSORIA → Cashiers and create one or more cashier accounts.
Go to POSORIA → Registers and confirm your registers.
Open /posoria/ on your site (or click Open POS from the POSORIA dashboard) and start selling.

Does Posoria require WooCommerce?

Yes. Posoria is a WooCommerce extension. WooCommerce 8.0 or later must be installed and active.

Is Posoria compatible with WooCommerce HPOS (High-Performance Order Storage)?

Yes. Every POS sale is written through the standard WooCommerce order API, and HPOS plus Cart & Checkout Blocks compatibility are declared on activation.

Will Posoria conflict with my WooCommerce orders, stock or payments?

No. Posoria does not run a parallel system. Each sale is created through WooCommerce's own order API, so stock is reduced correctly, the payment is recorded, and the order appears in WooCommerce just like any other order. No duplicate orders, no stock drift, nothing to reconcile. Posoria has been tested on many live stores.

Is there really no order limit?

Correct. Posoria Lite has no daily order cap, no trial timer, and no license key. Everything in this download stays free and fully usable.

Can cashiers use the POS without full admin access?

Yes. Posoria adds a dedicated cashier role. Cashiers can sign in at /posoria/ but cannot reach the rest of the WordPress admin.

Where is my sales data stored?

In your own WordPress database. Sales are real WooCommerce orders, so they appear in standard WooCommerce reports. Posoria adds its own tables only for register sessions and stock movements.

Does Posoria Lite connect to any external service?

No. The free plugin is fully self-hosted. It does not contact Stripe, Square, or any other third-party API, and it sends no telemetry. Connected card terminals are part of the separate POSORIA Pro plugin.

What happens when I uninstall?

By default your data is kept, so reinstalling restores everything. To remove Posoria's tables and settings on delete, enable Delete all POSORIA data on uninstall under POSORIA → Settings → General → Advanced first. Your WooCommerce orders and products are never deleted.

Why is the plugin folder named "posoria"?

The folder name matches the translation text domain (posoria). The plugin name shown on the Plugins screen is still Posoria Lite.
