详情介绍:

Pressundo Image Optimizer optimizes WordPress Media Library images locally on your server. It can compress JPEG/PNG files, generate WebP and AVIF variants, improve responsive image delivery, add missing intrinsic dimensions, and manage image loading behavior without requiring a remote image CDN. Its focus is local, performance-aware image delivery rather than cloud-only compression: eligible large decorative images can use adaptive AVIF quality with a visual-similarity guard, while the optional PageSpeed workflow can identify LCP images and use stored analysis to improve priority/preload decisions. Main features: The plugin does not download or install executable dependencies. If Sharp is not available on the server, it automatically falls back to the WordPress image editor stack (Imagick/GD when supported).

安装:

  1. Upload the plugin folder to /wp-content/plugins/ or install the ZIP from Plugins > Add New.
  2. Activate Pressundo Image Optimizer.
  3. Open Image Optimizer > Settings and review the compression and delivery options.
  4. Run a test on a small set of images before processing the complete Media Library.
  5. If you want to use Sharp + libvips, provision Sharp on the server in the runtime path shown by the plugin. The plugin itself does not download or install Sharp.
  6. If you want PageSpeed/LCP analysis, explicitly enable Google PageSpeed Insights in the settings first.

常见问题:

Does the plugin require a cloud image service?

No. Image optimization and format generation are performed locally on the WordPress server.

Does the plugin install Sharp automatically?

No. For WordPress.org compliance and server security, the plugin does not download or execute installer code from third parties. Sharp can be provisioned by the server administrator. Without Sharp, supported WordPress image editors are used automatically.

Does the plugin contact Google automatically?

No. Google PageSpeed Insights integration is disabled by default. It must be explicitly enabled before PageSpeed analysis or background LCP processing can contact Google.

Are original images backed up?

Backups can be enabled in the plugin settings. When enabled, originals are stored under the WordPress uploads directory so they can survive plugin updates.

Does it work with custom theme image markup?

Yes. WordPress-native image hooks remain available on supported versions. On WordPress 6.9 and newer, the optional full-document compatibility pass uses the core template enhancement output buffer for local Media Library images rendered directly by themes, menus, headers, footers, and custom templates. The plugin does not open its own global output buffer.
