ProofNexus Live Sales Popup & Social Proof

ProofNexus shows small "recent activity" popups so visitors can see that real people are buying and engaging. Data loads from a cache-friendly REST endpoint and does not block page rendering. Free features

• Automatic WooCommerce Sales Popups - recent qualifying orders, no manual setup. Choose which order statuses count and how far back to look. Popups cycle through eligible orders, newest to oldest.
• WooCommerce Add-to-Cart Notifications - "Someone added {product} to their cart", from real add-to-cart activity. Off by default.
• WooCommerce Low Stock Alerts - "Only {stock} left of {product}", from real inventory and your threshold. Off by default.
• Custom Notifications - your own popups (title, message, location, time text, optional image), with no limit on how many.
• WordPress Comment Notifications - a popup when a new comment is approved.
• Popup design - template gallery, colors, corner radius, image shape and a live preview.
• Privacy display modes - buyer's first name and city, or an anonymous city-only label.
• Position, timing, sound, role management and reset - four corners, delay and interval settings, optional sound, role access and Reset to Defaults.
• Quick Presets, Setup Wizard and Settings Backup & Restore.

The Free plugin has no locked features beyond the Pro items below and no usage limits. WooCommerce is optional. Version 6.0+ is needed only for the WooCommerce modules. Custom and Comment Notifications work on any WordPress site. ProofNexus Pro (separate, optional, paid). Every Pro plan includes the same features; plans differ only in the number of sites (Personal 1, Business 3, Agency 10):

• Priority support.

Privacy Free plugin. No analytics, no tracking cookies and no external requests. Popups come from your site's own REST endpoint, /wp-json/proofnexus/v1/popups, which returns only id, type, message, title, image_url, time_ago and url - never email addresses, order IDs or street addresses. The browser keeps a short list of already shown notification keys in sessionStorage, cleared when the tab closes. No cookies or localStorage are used. The Setup Wizard stores one non-personal state value locally. Add-to-Cart Notifications (off by default). Each add-to-cart stores only the product ID and a timestamp, temporarily, in your database - no name, email, IP address, session ID, cart contents, cookie or localStorage. Events are deleted after your age limit (1 hour to 7 days), and when you turn the module off, reset or deactivate. Low Stock Alerts store nothing. Live Product Viewer Counter (Pro, off by default). Each browser tab creates a random code kept only in sessionStorage. While a product page is open and visible, the code and a signed, time-limited page code are sent to your own site every 30 seconds; the request's Origin, Referer and Sec-Fetch-Site headers are checked and not stored. Your database holds only a salted one-way hash of the code, the product ID (not stored when the store-wide scope is chosen) and a last-seen time. A visitor stops counting about 90 seconds after their last activity, the row is deleted within a few minutes, and no history is kept. No cookies, localStorage, IP addresses, account details or external services are used. Administrators are never counted. The table is removed on uninstall, and rows are cleared when the counter is turned off or the plugin is deactivated. Pro Analytics (Pro, off by default). Stores local daily impression and click totals per notification source in your database - no personal data, cookies, browser identifiers, IPs, URLs, referrers, products or orders, and nothing is sent externally. Retention is 30, 90 (default) or 180 days. An administrator can clear the data or export 7, 30 or 90 days as TXT or XLSX (XLSX needs the PHP ZIP extension); exports are built on your server and not stored.

1. Go to Plugins > Add New, search for "ProofNexus Live Sales Popup & Social Proof", then Install Now and Activate. Or upload the ZIP under Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin.
2. Open ProofNexus in the admin menu and configure your popups.

Requires WordPress 5.8+ and PHP 7.4+. WooCommerce 6.0+ is needed only for the WooCommerce modules.

• Added: "Notification activity window" in Settings > General > Notification Timing. Choose all available activity (default) or only the last 1, 3, 7, 14 or 30 days, or a custom number of days, for sources with a real timestamp (WooCommerce orders, product reviews, comments and add-to-cart activity). Nothing is generated or invented. This setting replaces the older per-source lookback fields; their saved values are kept but no longer used.
• Added: "Repeat eligible notifications" switch in the same card. When the eligible list ends, ProofNexus starts again from the first item and picks up new activity on a later refresh. On by default; if you have already saved it as Off, that choice is kept.
• Fixed: Corrected the Free Plugins-screen Upgrade to Pro action link so it remains compact and readable.
• Improved: The Setup Wizard now opens once after a first single-site activation. It never opens on updates, re-activations, bulk or network activation, or sites that already have settings.
• Improved: The Setup Wizard has a clear "I'll set it up manually" link that closes it right away without saving any configuration.
• Improved: Removed unfinished placeholders (planned sources, goals and the Google Drive export card) from the interface. Your settings and backups are not affected.
• Added: A short setup hint on the ProofNexus Settings screen when WooCommerce is inactive for the selected source or no notification type is turned on.

• Added: Campaigns (ProofNexus > Campaigns), an original four-step campaign wizard (Choose Proof, Craft Popup, Reach Audience, Review & Publish) with five presets. Campaigns use only real local WooCommerce / WordPress data, never publish without an explicit click, and one campaign is live at a time; your regular settings stay the fallback and are never overwritten.
• Added (Pro): Mobile Display for campaigns (same license gate as the global Mobile Display setting).
• Improved: Setup Wizard redesigned as a five-step flow (Welcome, Goal, Style, Reach, Ready) with a card-based "Choose your goal" step. Ready goals map only to existing features (Sales, WooCommerce Activity, Reviews (Pro), Comments, Cart Peek, Custom Message); eLearning, Cookie Notice and Donations are shown as Coming soon and cannot be selected. Nothing is saved until Finish.
• Added: Notification Blend (opt-in, off by default). Rotate two or more of your real notification types (Sales, WooCommerce Activity, Cart Peek, Comments, Custom Message, and Reviews with Pro) in turn, from the Setup Wizard or the Notifications tab. Nothing is generated, nothing repeats within a browser tab, empty types are skipped, and a live Proof Flow Studio campaign overrides it. Included in Settings Backup & Restore.
• Improved: Mobile Studio on the Design tab. Free shows what Pro adds for phones (responsive preview, mobile display control, campaign mobile delivery) with one Upgrade to Pro button; desktop popup controls stay free. Pro shows the saved Mobile Display state and previews your template in a phone frame. The Mobile Display row on the General tab matches.
• Improved: Setup Wizard progress label and bar, clearer "Browse by source" area, stronger selected cards, subtle local transitions (disabled with reduced-motion).
• Added: Proof Loop (Pro): for a live WooCommerce Sales campaign, show one real approved 4/5-star WooCommerce review after every N real sales (default 2, 1-10). Off by default; nothing is generated, and name privacy settings still apply.
• Added: Settings Backup & Restore now includes Campaigns configuration only (never customer, order or review data). Imports are validated like the Campaign wizard, never auto-publish an unavailable source, keep at most one campaign live, and leave current campaigns untouched when restoring an older backup.
• Added: optional "Show by ProofNexus credit" toggle, off by default, with no tracking.
• Added: Quick Presets, Setup Wizard, and Settings Backup & Restore (local JSON; license, account and store data are never exported).
• Added (Pro): Live Product Viewer Counter - an optional badge counting anonymous viewers currently active on a product page, with a minimum count, position and editable message. Uses a per-tab sessionStorage code, a signed time-limited page code and strict same-site checks; stores only a salted hash, product ID and last-seen time. No cookies, IP addresses or external services.
• Added (Pro): Viewer Counter "Viewer counting scope" - count this product only (default) or all product pages store-wide; a visitor moving between products is counted once. Same anonymous per-tab hash, no cookies, IP addresses or external services.
• Improved: Settings tabs now have a sticky Save Changes bar and stay on the same tab after saving.
• Improved: Campaign wizard now asks for a required Campaign name in Step 1 (blank names are rejected when saving or publishing).
• Improved: Plugins list shows a compact text "Upgrade to Pro" link on Free installs; the Pro card in Settings lists current Pro features and fits every screen width; the Settings Restore form no longer collapses on narrow layouts.

• Changed: showing popups on mobile is now a Pro feature (locked with a gold crown in Free). Existing Pro sites keep their setting.
