Yes. Playlist data is cached with WordPress transients. You can adjust the cache duration in Settings > Video Feed. Changing the API key or cache duration automatically invalidates existing caches. If a refresh fails, the last successful response may be used for up to 24 hours after its freshness period, with retries no more often than every 10 minutes. Failed pagination is never cached as a successful partial playlist.
Each refresh retrieves up to 500 playlist items within an eight-second request budget. Private, deleted, or malformed items may reduce the displayed count. The block and shortcode display limit applies after retrieval. Concurrent visitors share one refresh per playlist. Larger playlists should be split into smaller playlists when all items need to be displayed.
Yes. The block and shortcode are both supported. The block uses the same frontend rendering as the shortcode.
Yes. Global colors are configured in Settings > Video Feed. A block can override any color from its Styles tab, and clearing an override restores the global value. Shortcodes use the global colors.
Yes. Use the Clear Playlist Caches button on the Video Feed settings page.
The plugin shows a generic availability message and provides a YouTube playlist fallback when possible.
