Where do I get an API key?
Sign up at app.rankmanager.ai and find your API key under Settings → API in your dashboard.
Does this plugin make AI calls directly?
No. All AI processing happens on the RankManager SaaS platform. The plugin only sends requests and receives results via our secure API.
Why does some AI content show a disclosure label and other content does not?
The EU AI Act does not require a visible label on every piece of AI-generated content. RankManager classifies each item and decides whether a label is required, then tells the plugin. You choose the label format and its placement in RankManager under Settings, AI Compliance. The wording of the label is set by RankManager and is not editable in WordPress.
Can I edit the AI transparency metadata in WordPress?
No. The metadata is part of your compliance audit trail, so the plugin blocks writes to it from the post editor, the REST API and other plugins. It is updated only by RankManager. Alt text on AI-generated images stays editable, but the AI indicator phrase is kept in it.
