RelyWP Store Credit for WooCommerce helps you launch a lightweight, no-bloat store credit and wallet system without complexity. Every customer gets a store credit balance (a wallet) they can top up, earn, and spend at checkout. 常见问题:

What is store credit and how does it work?

Store credit is a balance customers can build up and spend on your store, much like a wallet. The plugin offers two independent systems you can enable separately or together:

  • Account credit: a running balance attached to each customer's account that they apply at checkout.
  • Credit vouchers: redeemable codes (stored as WooCommerce coupons) that can be applied in full or in part, even across multiple orders.
You choose which system(s) to use in Store Credit → Settings → General.

How do I set up the plugin?

After activating, go to Store Credit → Settings:

  1. General: choose whether to use account credit, credit vouchers, or both, and set your store credit label.
  2. Credit Redemption: decide where the redemption tool appears (cart, checkout, or both), enable partial redemption, and set any minimum/maximum limits.
  3. My Account: enable the customer dashboard and choose which sections show.
  4. Earn / Top-up, Refunds, Vouchers, Emails, and the other tabs: configure earning, refunds, and notifications to suit your store.
Sensible defaults are applied out of the box, so it works as soon as it's activated.

How do customers earn store credit?

There are several ways to add credit to a customer's balance:

  • Top-up: customers buy credit themselves using the [sscp_credit_topup] form or from their My Account dashboard.
  • Refunds: admins can return an order's value as store credit instead of to the original payment method.
  • Admin awards: grant or remove credit manually from the customer admin page.
  • Gift vouchers: convert a voucher to account credit, or receive a gift from another customer (if enabled).

How do customers redeem their store credit?

When a customer has available credit, the Credit Redemption Tool appears on the cart and/or checkout. From there they can:

  • Apply their account balance (the full amount, or a custom amount if partial redemption is enabled).
  • Choose and apply one or more vouchers.
  • Claim a voucher by entering its code (if enabled).
You can also enable a compact widget inside the cart totals for a quick apply/remove toggle. Redemption respects any minimum amount and maximum order-coverage limits you set.

Can customers use both account credit and a voucher together?

Yes. You can allow account credit, voucher credit, or both at checkout. When both systems are enabled, you can also let customers combine an account balance and a voucher on the same order.

What do customers see in My Account?

The plugin adds a dedicated "Store Credit" page under WooCommerce → My Account (the menu label is customizable). Depending on which sections you enable, customers can see:

  • Their current balance and a summary of available credit.
  • A list of their vouchers, with options to apply, view the remaining balance, or convert to account credit.
  • A top-up form to buy more credit.
  • A full, paginated activity history.
PRO adds Cashback and Gift Credit sections to the dashboard.

How do vouchers work?

Vouchers are stored as standard WooCommerce coupons, so you can view and manage them from WooCommerce → Marketing → Coupons. You can set a code prefix for auto-generated vouchers and configure a template coupon whose restrictions (product/category limits, minimum spend, usage limits, etc.) are copied to every new voucher.

Do customers need an account to use store credit?

Yes, for redeeming. Account balances belong to a user account, and the Credit Redemption Tool at the cart and checkout is only shown to logged-in customers, so a shopper has to be signed in to apply their balance or pick a voucher from their account. The one thing that does not need an account is looking up a voucher: the [sscp_balance_check] shortcode lets anyone enter a code and see its remaining balance, status, and expiry. A guest who has been given an unassigned voucher code can also still enter it in WooCommerce's own coupon field at checkout - the plugin's redemption tool is a convenience layer on top of that, not a replacement for it.

Does it support multiple currencies?

Yes. Balances are stored in your shop's base currency and converted on the fly using the exchange rates from a detected currency switcher (such as WPML, Weglot, or WooCommerce Multi-Currency). If no switcher is active, the plugin runs in single-currency mode. The Multi-Currency settings tab shows the detected switcher and active rates.

Can I migrate balances from another wallet plugin?

Yes. The plugin includes a migration tool to import existing customer balances from wallet plugins such as TeraWallet (Wallet for WooCommerce). The import is a one-time conversion into store credit, with activity log entries recorded per customer.

What emails does the plugin send?

The Email Notifications tab lets you customize the subject and HTML body of each notification, using merge tags like {customer_name}, {balance}, {amount}, and {code}. Notifications include credit added, credit deducted, refunded to credit, and voucher created, with additional PRO emails for cashback, expiry reminders, and gifts. You can send yourself a test email before saving.

Which shortcodes are available?

  • [sscp_balance] - shows the logged-in customer's balance (use type="account", type="voucher", or type="total").
  • [sscp_credit_topup] - displays the buy-credit / top-up form.
  • [sscp_credit_history] - outputs a table of the customer's credit activity (use rows="10" to limit entries).
  • [sscp_balance_check] - a public form (no login required) where anyone can enter a voucher code to see its remaining balance, status, and expiry. Great for gift recipients. Customise the copy with title, description, button, and placeholder attributes.

Does this work with WooCommerce HPOS?

Yes. The plugin is compatible with High-Performance Order Storage and uses modern WooCommerce order APIs throughout, so the admin tools work on both the classic and HPOS order screens.

Does it work with the block cart and checkout?

Yes. The redemption tool and compact widget are compatible with the WooCommerce block-based Cart and Checkout, as well as the classic shortcode-based checkout. Because it relies on standard WooCommerce hooks, it also works with most popular custom checkout plugins.

Data & privacy

This plugin stores each customer's store credit balance in user meta and logs credit activity (additions, deductions, and adjustments) in a custom database table to enable efficient history pagination. Credit vouchers are stored as standard WooCommerce coupons, so they follow WooCommerce's own data handling. The plugin does not set tracking cookies or send customer data to any external service for its core store credit features. As site owner, include these data uses in your site's privacy policy as applicable.

Does this plugin use a 3rd party service?

Yes - Freemius, operated by Freemius, Inc. It is the only external service this plugin communicates with. It is used for the optional opt-in in the free version, and for licence management, automatic updates and checkout in the PRO version. No store, order, customer or store credit data is ever sent to it. Nothing is sent to Freemius unless you click "Allow & Continue" on the opt-in notice shown after activation. If you do opt in, Freemius receives your WordPress user's first and last name and email address; your site's homepage URL and title, WordPress and PHP versions, and site language; and plugin activation, deactivation and uninstall events. Granting the optional "View Plugins & Themes List" permission additionally sends the names, slugs, versions and active status of your installed plugins and themes. You can skip the opt-in and keep using the plugin, and you can opt out again at any time from the plugin's Account page or the Opt Out link on the Plugins screen. Please review the Freemius Terms of Service and Privacy Policy before installing.

Do you provide support?

Yes. If you need any help setting up the Store Credit loyalty plugin, please feel free to get in touch and we'll be happy to help!
