Automatic Installation
- Go to Plugins > Add New in your WordPress admin
- Search for "Rixden Career Manager"
- Click Install Now, then Activate
- Go to Career Manager in your admin menu
- Download the plugin zip file
- Go to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin
- Upload the zip file and click Install Now
- Activate the plugin

Do I really need hiring software for my small business?
Not anymore. Rixden Career Manager gives you a professional careers page and application management without monthly fees.
Does it work with my theme?
Yes. The plugin uses its own scoped CSS that won't conflict with your theme.
Can candidates apply without an account?
Yes. The application form is open to all visitors — name, phone, email, and resume. No registration required.
Where do applications go?
Applications appear in your Career Manager admin dashboard under the Applications tab. You also receive an email notification with the resume attached.
What file types are accepted for resumes?
PDF and Word documents (.pdf, .doc, .docx), up to 5MB.
Will it slow down my site?
No. The plugin is lightweight with no external dependencies, no JavaScript frameworks, and no custom database tables.
I have existing jobs with plain-text locations. What happens?
Existing jobs created before 1.0.1 store location as plain text. They will continue to display that text correctly. To migrate them to structured locations, simply add the location to your Locations tab, then edit and re-save each job — selecting the matching location from the dropdown.
Are locations compatible with the Pro version?
Yes. Locations created in the free version use the same data format as Pro. The Pro version includes a one-time migration that automatically converts any remaining plain-text locations to structured location keys when you first activate it.
