Rocket Marketing Roofing Marketing Toolkit gives roofing companies three practical tools for their WordPress website: local storm damage alert banners, Google review QR codes, and a roofing material comparison tool. Manage everything from one dashboard and display each tool wherever you need it using shortcodes.
Use storm alerts to connect homeowners with your inspection page, make it easier for customers to leave a review, and help prospective customers compare the roofing materials you install before requesting an estimate.
Local storm damage alert banners
Give homeowners in your service area a timely reminder to have their roof inspected after potentially damaging weather.
- Select one or multiple states and the counties your roofing company serves.
- Display a banner when a qualifying weather warning affects any selected county.
- Show a weather-specific heading, icon, and roof inspection message.
- Link the entire banner, including its Contact Us button, to your inspection, estimate, or contact page.
- Choose the banner's background and text colors to match your website.
- Set how many days the banner remains visible after a warning ends. The default is three days.
- Choose how often to check for weather alerts. The default is every 24 hours.
- Enable or disable the banner without removing its shortcode from your pages.
Supported warnings include severe thunderstorms, tornadoes, high wind, hurricanes, tropical storms, and extreme wind. Severe thunderstorm warnings can cover hail or damaging wind. Watches, advisories, and test alerts do not trigger the banner.
Weather checks run in the background when someone visits your website and the configured interval has elapsed. No weather API key is required. Active-warning messages ask homeowners to wait until conditions are safe before arranging an inspection.
The banner is a marketing tool, not an emergency notification system or confirmation of roof damage. A warning may affect only part of a selected county, and detection depends on website visits and your check interval. The first check uses the weather service's available seven-day alert history; previously detected events are retained locally for longer display periods.
Google review QR codes
Make it easier for customers to leave a review after a roofing project or inspection.
- Add your Google Business Profile link for leaving a review.
- Generate a QR code when that saved link is added or changed.
- Preview and download the QR code from your WordPress dashboard.
- Display a clickable QR code on your website using a shortcode.
- Use the downloaded image on printed review cards, project handouts, or other customer materials.
QR codes are generated locally using a bundled JavaScript library and saved on your website. No external QR service, API key, or Google account connection is required. Displaying the code or saving an unchanged review link does not regenerate it.
This tool directs customers to your review link; it does not import Google reviews or automatically send review requests.
Roofing material comparison tool
Help homeowners understand their roofing options and move toward requesting an estimate.
- Compare asphalt shingles, metal roofing, and tile roofing.
- Enable only the materials your roofing company installs.
- Customize each material's estimated lifespan, durability, and relative cost.
- Add a separate Get a Quote link for each roofing material.
- Clear a detail field to hide that information, or clear a quote URL to hide its button.
- Choose which material receives the Most Popular badge. Asphalt shingles is selected by default.
- Set one color for the material selectors and quote buttons, and choose the header gradient's starting color.
- Add an optional phone number for the Call Us Today button.
- Enable or disable the complete tool while retaining your settings.
The tool includes a roof-photo header, material photos, comparison cards, icons, quote buttons, and a help section. Homeowners can highlight a material while keeping every enabled option visible for comparison. The layout adapts to mobile screens.
All three materials and the comparison tool are enabled by default. Quote links initially point to your website's /contact/ page. Example lifespan, durability, and cost values are editable starting points; adjust them for your products, installation practices, and local conditions.
Available shortcodes
- [roofing_marketing_storm_banner] - local storm alert banner with a link to your inspection or contact page.
- [roofing_marketing_review_qr] - clickable QR code for your saved Google review link.
- [roofing_marketing_material_comparison] - comparison of your enabled roofing materials and their saved details.
Use these in a WordPress Shortcode block or compatible page-builder content. The dashboard includes a Copy button beside each shortcode. Updating a saved setting changes its output wherever the shortcode is rendered.
