详情介绍:
Replace WordPress’s default search with a powerful site search plugin for WordPress and WooCommerce. SearchUs helps visitors quickly find pages, posts, WooCommerce products, images, videos, PDFs, documents, audio, and other media with fast, relevance-ranked results.
SearchUs delivers a better search experience with customizable results, search intent, synonyms, Smart 404 recovery, and flexible search pages. WooCommerce shoppers can filter products, select variations, and buy from search results—helping them find what they need faster with fewer clicks.
Key Features
Better WordPress Search
Replace WordPress’s built-in search with fast, relevance-ranked site search across pages, posts, WooCommerce products, images, videos, PDFs, documents, audio, and other indexed content. Show results on a dedicated search page with tabs such as All, Products, Images, Videos, Documents, and Audio; choose list or grid layouts while keeping your site’s header and footer.
WooCommerce Search Built for Shopping
Turn product search into a shopping experience. Index your catalog, let customers filter by category, price, brand, color, size, and other attributes, and understand natural-language searches like “under $100.” Shoppers can select color, size, and other options on variable products and use Buy Now to cart or checkout without opening the product page first. Map shopper language (for example “XXL” or “sneakers”) to real variation options and intent synonyms so the right products rank and preselect. Optional AI Assist can draft those synonym and variation-alias maps for you.
Scoped Search Embeds
Place search boxes anywhere with a shortcode and choose exactly what visitors can search—products, pages, posts, images, videos, documents, audio, selected categories, or your entire site. Ideal for shop pages, landing pages, and page builders.
Search Analytics & Content Gaps
See what visitors are searching for—including queries that return zero results—so you can improve your site instead of guessing. Spot missing products or pages to create, decide which synonym maps to add, and focus ranking and content work where shoppers actually look. Analytics stay on your WordPress site when enabled.
Search Intent & Synonyms
Understand what visitors mean—not just what they type. Built-in intent and synonym matching help connect searches like “lead gen” with content about “lead generation.”
“Did You Mean?” Suggestions
Reduce failed searches by suggesting better terms when no matching results are found.
Fully Customizable Search Ranking
Control how results are ranked by adjusting the importance of titles, headings, content, URLs, media, products, pages, posts, and more. Promote your most important content to the top of search results.
Automatic Search Indexing
Keep your search index up to date by automatically detecting content changes, crawling your sitemap, or performing a full site scan.
Promote Important Content
Feature announcements, products, promotions, or key pages by inserting promoted results into search results.
Secure & Reliable
Protect your search experience with settings locking, plan-tier rate protection, and automated bot filtering to reduce abusive or junk search traffic before it consumes your usage.
Built to Scale
Whether your site has dozens of pages or hundreds of thousands of products, SearchUs scales with your content while keeping WordPress search fast, organized, and easy to use.
Smart 404 Recovery
Recover visitors before they leave by replacing dead-end 404 pages with relevant pages, posts, products, or media based on the requested URL.
Options
Use the SearchUs search results page, or keep your theme’s default WordPress search template while benefiting from SearchUs indexing and relevance ranking.
Choose which post types, products, and media types to index. Configure layouts, ranking, excerpts, results per page, Buy Now destination, excluded URLs, excluded page sections, and more from one settings area.
Requires PHP 7.4 or later.
After license activation, SearchUs securely communicates with the FunnelWon service for indexing, search queries, licensing, and plan usage. Free plans include “Search powered by FunnelWon” attribution where applicable. Paid plans can remove attribution based on license level. SearchUs does not include third-party advertising or behavioral tracking.
安装:
- Upload the plugin folder to
/wp-content/plugins/ (for example searchus/) or install via Plugins → Add New.
- Activate the plugin. Complete free or paid license activation in SearchUs settings (register or paste an API key). The plugin creates a Search page; after activation, search and indexing use the SearchUs API as described in Privacy and External services. Until activation, visitor
?s= search stays on WordPress’s built-in search.
- In the WordPress admin sidebar, open SearchUs – Site Search for WordPress and WooCommerce to lock settings, run a full reindex, and configure SERP, ranking, and Smart 404.
- Run "Full site reindex" at least once so the index is built. After that, optional auto-crawl can keep it updated.
Before the first successful reindex: With license activation complete and SearchUs handling visitor search (the default), searches are sent to the SearchUs API. If nothing has been indexed yet, visitors often see
no results—the plugin does
not switch back to WordPress’s built-in search in that mode. Run a full reindex as soon as setup allows. If you need core WordPress search until indexing finishes, choose
Use default WordPress results page under SERP → Layout in settings.

1.0.1

1.0.0
First public release. Complete free or paid license activation in SearchUs settings, then run a full reindex so indexing and visitor search use the API.
常见问题:
Do I need to reindex?
Yes. Run a full site reindex from the plugin admin (Plugin Settings → Reindex / crawl area) after activation and when you add or change a lot of content. Optional auto-crawl can then keep the index updated when you publish or update posts/pages.
After your license is activated, visitor search uses the SearchUs API (unless you chose “default WordPress results” under SERP → Layout). Until the first full reindex has completed, many sites will show empty search results—that is expected, not a fallback to WordPress’s native search. Complete a full reindex to populate the service index; use the default WordPress results option temporarily if you need the theme’s normal search while indexing is still running.
Can I use my theme's search template?
Yes. Under SERP → Layout, choose "Use default WordPress results page." After license activation, we still supply the results and ranking via the API; your theme controls the layout. Attribution may appear on the free tier per your license and API response.
What is Smart 404?
When a visitor hits a 404, the plugin can show "similar" results derived from the URL (e.g. missing product or page). Enable it under Smart 404s in settings.
Does it work with WooCommerce?
Yes. Enable the product post type for indexing under Crawl → Inclusion. Product caps and ranking multipliers are under Ranking. On the SearchUs SERP template, Ecommerce → WooCommerce controls Buy Now destination (checkout, cart, or off). Simple in-stock products show Buy Now. Variable products show option pickers (color, size, and other attributes) and Buy Now for the selected in-stock variation. Grouped products link via the product title. External/affiliate products can show a vendor buy link. Buy Now requires published WooCommerce Cart and/or Checkout pages. Stock and price refresh when results load. The same screen holds Variant Option Aliases (YAML map like Intent synonyms) so query language such as “extra extra large” maps to your attribute term slugs for variation preselect.
What data is sent to SearchUs by FunnelWon?
See Privacy and External services. In short: your site URL, API key (if any), plugin version, and data required for indexing/search/API are transmitted after activation as part of the service. Theme, hosting, and plugin lists are not sent automatically for support—you may be asked to provide those manually if you open a ticket. Junk scanner queries are blocked locally and are not sent.
What are the minimum requirements?
- WordPress 5.9 or higher (see header above for the “Tested up to” value).
- PHP 7.4 or higher (see header above).
- Outbound HTTPS connectivity from your server to FunnelWon’s SearchUs API for license activation, indexing, and visitor search once setup is complete.
- A modern hosting stack;
curl or equivalent is used via WordPress HTTP APIs.
MySQL/MariaDB versions follow WordPress core requirements for your WordPress version.
What does “Tested up to” mean?
The Tested up to value in the plugin header is the latest WordPress release the authors have smoke-tested with this plugin version. Use a current, supported WordPress version on your site.
Why do I need license activation for search and indexing?
SearchUs is a hosted search service: indexing and ranked results run against FunnelWon’s API after a free or paid API key is stored. Until you finish activation, front-end search requests use WordPress’s default search so visitors are not routed through SearchUs for ?s= results.
Is this plugin a fork of another search plugin?
No. SearchUs by FunnelWon is developed and maintained by FunnelWon. It is not a fork of any plugin or other third-party search plugins.
Do you offer paid plans? What changes when I upgrade?
This is one plugin with the same settings UI on every plan. Upgrading means a FunnelWon / SearchUs license with higher service quotas, for example:
- More indexed URLs (index cap on the API).
- Higher monthly search queries (and, on paid production sites, optional metered overage per your subscription).
- More frequent full reindexes when your plan allows (the service returns allowance and retry timing in usage/API responses—not hidden timers in the plugin).
- Attribution removal on results where your paid license and API response allow it.
Ranking weights, intent, media extraction, SERP injections, reordering, and multi-user mode remain available in the plugin; the service applies your saved configuration when processing search and indexing. For plan comparison and pricing, see https://searchus.funnelwon.com/
Where can I find documentation?
Product and setup information are published on FunnelWon (see the Author link above). The in-plugin FAQ panel and settings descriptions explain individual controls. For WordPress.org installs, use the plugin’s support forum for general questions.
Will it work with my theme?
In most cases, yes. After license activation, the plugin adds a dedicated search page template and can redirect normal WordPress search (?s=) to it, or you can use default WordPress search results so your theme’s search template wraps our results (see SERP → Layout). You may need minor CSS adjustments so the search page matches your theme. Themes that heavily override search or use unusual routing should be tested after installation.
Where can I report bugs, request features, or get help?
When reporting issues, include WordPress version, PHP version, active theme, and (if asked) a paste of Tools → Site Health → Info—see the Privacy section.
更新日志:
2.0.7
- Improved phrase synonyms: multi-word queries like "search ads" match the longest synonym phrase (e.g. ppc) instead of a single ambiguous token (e.g. search → seo).
2.0.4
- Show the API plan-cap reindex summary dialog before reload, with Crawl Inclusion and upgrade actions.
2.0.3
- Let the SearchUs API apply plan URL limits to full reindexes, then show how many eligible URLs were stored or excluded by the API plan cap.
- Add Crawl > Inclusion guidance when an index reaches its API plan limit, so site owners can prioritize content and media without plugin-side plan enforcement.
2.0.2
- Fix mobile SERP product/image grids overflowing the viewport (fixed 225px tracks). Tiles now use fluid two-column columns that fit theme content width without horizontal scrolling.
2.0.1
- Admin sidebar menu label shortened to “SearchUs” (full plugin name unchanged on the Plugins screen and WordPress.org).
2.0.0
- Search Embeds (SERP → Search Embeds): create named shortcodes that limit search to pages, posts, products (optional WooCommerce categories), and/or media types that match your crawl settings (Images, PDFs, Documents, videos, audio, embeds). Custom name, shortcode ID, placeholder, and button label; paste into pages, posts, or builders via [searchus_search scope="your-id"].
- Scoped results page: embeds send visitors to SearchUs results with clear “search is limited to…” context and matching tabs/filters for that scope (products-only, media-only, etc.).
- Product filter drawer (WooCommerce): on Shopping tab or products-only embeds, open Filters for categories, min/max price ($0 allowed; high ceiling for expensive catalogs), brands (store brands + brand attributes when both exist), color, and size systems (clothing, footwear, hats) so shoe sizes aren’t mixed with apparel.
- Shareable filter URLs: applied filters stay in the address bar and survive pagination; reopening the drawer keeps your current selections.
- Natural-language price in the query: phrases like “under $100” or “between 200 and 500” are recognized, cleaned from the keyword query, and applied as product price filters (with chips on the results for active constraints).
- Variable products on SERP: color/size (and related) pickers with in-stock awareness and two-way filtering, plus Buy Now for the selected variation.
- Ecommerce variant option aliases (separate from intent synonyms): map shopper language (e.g. sizes/colors people type) to real WooCommerce variation options; starter pack included and editable under Ecommerce.
- Intent synonyms vs. catalog aliases cleanly split: Suggest Assist helps with either store intent synonyms or variation aliases—not a single mixed map—so language expansion and variation matching stay distinct.
- AI Assist for Intent synonyms and Ecommerce variant aliases: with one click, Suggest can draft shopper-language mappings for you—so searches like “sneakers” or “XXL” connect to the right content and variation options without hand-building every alias. Free licensed sites include a monthly assist budget; paid plans are unlimited.
1.0.4
- SERP Background default is solid white; optional “Transparent / match theme background” shows the theme behind the results.
1.0.3
- Update Shopping tab result tiles to match Images, Videos, and other grid tile styling (card borders, rounded corners, square thumbs).
1.0.2
1.0.1
- Fix license activation on hosted staging/preview URLs (Kinsta, WP.com staging, and similar).
- Fix activation verify URL on sites using plain permalinks (uses /fw-si-v-{token}/ path instead of ?page_id=).
1.0.0
- Initial release: SERP page template, redirect, Smart 404, intent/synonyms, ranking and media controls in admin, "Did you mean?", crawl/reindex, URL and DOM exclusions, settings lock, optional local rate limits and junk-query guard. PHP 7.4+ supported via polyfills.
- WordPress.org compliance: all plugin settings available on every plan; plan limits (indexed URLs, monthly queries, reindex allowance, attribution) enforced by the SearchUs API only. Readme and External services documentation updated accordingly.
