Seedcast Sermon Library turns your weekly preaching into a permanent, searchable teaching library. Every sermon gets its own page where people can watch the video, listen to the audio, read the transcript, explore an article, work through a Bible study, download resources and see the Scriptures connected to the message. Visitors can explore your teaching by Scripture, series, speaker and topic. Someone studying Ephesians can find sermons your church has preached from Ephesians. Someone exploring prayer or marriage can browse messages on that subject. Someone considering a visit can read what your pastors actually teach instead of judging the church from a homepage and a few video thumbnails. Written sermon content is also available to search engines and AI assistants, helping the teaching your church already produces become discoverable beyond Sunday morning. Everything below is included in the free plugin. Sermon Library AI is an optional paid add-on described at the end. One sermon becomes many ways to engage A sermon can include video, audio, transcript, article, Bible study, sermon notes, the questions it answers, Scripture references, speaker and series information, and downloadable PDFs. Everything stays connected to the original sermon instead of being scattered across separate posts and pages. A visitor may read instead of watching a 45-minute video. A member who missed Sunday may listen later. Someone studying a passage may find the sermon through Scripture. Someone who arrived with a question may find it answered near the top of the page. A small group may use the Bible study during the week. Build a real library, not just a video archive Scripture. Every book, chapter and passage gets its own page. Overlapping passages are understood intelligently, so a sermon on Ephesians 6:10-20 can be found by someone looking at Ephesians 6:15. Topics. Organize teaching around subjects people actually want to explore, with a limit of three per sermon so a topic page stays a real way in rather than a list of everything. Series. Give every series its own artwork, description, date range and archive. Speakers. Create speaker profiles with a photo, biography, links and every sermon they have preached. Together, these turn years of Sunday messages into an interconnected body of teaching rather than a long list of recordings. Every passage becomes a page worth landing on A verse page listing a single sermon is a dead end for whoever found it. Sermon Library builds each passage page out. The sermons on that passage come first, then the articles written from them, then the rest of your teaching in that book. Someone who arrives looking for Ephesians 6:15 finds the message on that verse and a way into everything else your church has preached from Ephesians. Books and chapters are real pages too. One address gathers every sermon you have preached from Romans, and another gathers Romans 8, so the connections between years of Sunday messages are something a visitor can follow rather than something only you can see. Each sermon in the list also shows which passages in that book it actually touches, so a reader can tell at a glance which message is about the verse they came for. Passages in books your church has barely preached are kept out of search results on their own, and come back on their own once there is enough teaching to make the page worth reading. Nothing to configure, and nothing to remember to undo later. Help people discover what your church actually teaches Many sermon archives give search engines little more than a title and embedded video. Sermon Library makes the underlying teaching available as indexable written content and adds structured information about sermons, speakers, audio, video and Scripture. That gives Google, other search engines and AI assistants more context for understanding what your church teaches. Someone may discover your church while searching for a Bible passage, theological question, topic or sermon article. They did not have to be searching for your church to find something your church taught. Keep useful sermon content alive Use [scsl_content] to display sermon articles and Bible studies anywhere on your site as a list, grid or slider. Each item opens the original sermon directly to that content, so nothing is duplicated at a second URL. A message preached two years ago can continue helping someone today. See how complete every sermon and your entire library are Sermon libraries develop gaps. One sermon is missing a transcript. Another has no Scripture reference. Another is missing artwork, notes or written content. Every sermon receives a completeness score, showing how fully its page has been built out and exactly what could be improved. Sermon Library also calculates an overall completeness score for your entire library, so you can see how consistently your church is building useful sermon records across everything you have published. The Completeness Report shows:

The score uses only the content your church has chosen to publish. If you do not use Bible studies, missing Bible studies will not lower your score. Instead of wondering where your sermon library needs work, you can see where it stands and what to improve next. Already using another sermon plugin? Sermon Library imports from Sermon Manager, Sermon Works, Mattytap Sermons and Series Engine. For supported WordPress plugins, the importer reads sermon data already on your site, shows you what it found and lets you review it before anything is written. Original plugin data is left untouched. It can also identify duplicate speaker names and help you consolidate them during migration. • A gallery added with Add Media to a sermon's Article, Bible Study or More tab now shows as a gallery. It used to print as its shortcode text.
• Galleries on sermon, series and speaker pages show as a grid of even tiles that follows the gallery's column setting, and open full size in a lightbox with previous and next. Themes that leave gallery styling to themselves had been stacking the photos full width.
• Bundles version 1.27.0 of the shared Seedcast library, which provides the gallery grid and lightbox.

• Generated questions that cannot be laid out as rows are now shown as they arrived rather than silently dropped.
• Fixes to the Edit Sermon screen are fetched rather than served from the browser's cache.
• Removed the Scripture References checklist WordPress was adding beside the sermon. Passages are managed in the Scripture box, and a checklist of every passage in the Bible is not something anyone was going to tick.
• Any additional passage can be promoted with a new Focus button. It swaps places with the current focus passage, so nothing has to be retyped and nothing is lost.
• The Questions box now sits under Content even if you had already rearranged your meta boxes.
• New Scripture Summaries screen for reading, editing and approving the summary at the top of a book or chapter page. The list runs Genesis to Revelation and can be sorted by how many sermons a passage has. A rewritten summary now waits for your approval instead of replacing what is published, with a count beside the menu while any are waiting. Editing one yourself marks it as your writing and stops it being rewritten, unless you tick the box that says otherwise.

• Sermons can now carry the questions they answer, shown on the sermon page as a numbered list of questions with their answers. A sermon is largely someone answering questions people already have, and this makes those answers findable by anyone scanning the page instead of only by someone reading the whole transcript.
• The questions are described to search engines as structured data, and give AI assistants a clean question and answer to quote rather than a point buried in a transcript.
• Write them yourself in the new Questions box under Content on the Edit Sermon screen, a row per question with its answer, or let Sermon Library AI write them from what was preached.
• Questions can be switched off for the whole site in Settings, and count towards a sermon's completeness score when they are on.
• Topics are now picked rather than ticked, with a limit of three per sermon. A topic that ends up on four sermons in five is a label on the whole library rather than a way into it, and a checklist tends to produce either nothing ticked or everything ticked.
• Sermon Library AI can choose them, but only from the topics your church already has. It cannot invent one, so your vocabulary stays yours and does not split into three near-identical terms.
• Retiring a topic no longer leaves broken addresses behind. Point the old topic at whichever one replaced it, or at the sermon archive, and visitors and search engines are redirected instead of finding a missing page.

2.72.1

• Passage pages no longer queue background work on every view, which on a site being crawled could use up every available PHP process. Nothing is queued now unless a summary service is connected.
• Building the sitemap is a single query rather than several thousand.
• Addresses written before the site placed a separator between chapter and verse now reach the right page, so /scripture/john-844/ leads to /scripture/john-8-44/. The same applies to sermon addresses left behind by a previous plugin.
• Passage and topic feeds are switched off. They were slow enough that crawlers recorded errors against them, and a passage archive is not something anyone subscribes to. Those addresses now lead to the page.
• New at /llms-full.txt: a single plain text description of your whole sermon library for AI assistants, listing every sermon with its passage, speaker and a summary of what it covers. Most llms.txt files list only a handful of recent items; this one describes the library.
• Book and chapter summaries are given more to work with, so a generated summary describes where your church's teaching actually sits rather than reading like general commentary on the book.

2.72.0 Passage pages rebuilt

• Every book, chapter and passage now has a real page. One address gathers everything your church has preached from Romans, another gathers Romans 8, and a verse page leads with the sermons on that verse.
• A passage page continues past its own sermons: the articles written from them, then the rest of your teaching in that book. A page that used to hold a single sermon card now holds a way into the whole book.
• Sermon cards on a passage page show which passages in that book each sermon actually touches.
• Long lists load more on request rather than paging, with the first batch in the page itself so search engines still see it.
• Book and chapter pages can carry a short written summary of what their sermons cover. Sermon Library AI writes it; without a service connected the section simply does not appear.
• Passages in books your church has barely preached are kept out of search results automatically, and return on their own as you preach there.
• Passage pages load in about a second where they previously took several, after a fix to how Scripture references are parsed.

2.71.0

• Every setting the shared Seedcast library stores was renamed to a longer, more distinctive prefix, so it cannot collide with another plugin that happened to choose the same short one. Your church details, service times, theme and spam settings are carried across automatically the first time the plugin loads; nothing needs re-entering.
• Submitted form values are cleaned once, in a single place, before any plugin sees them. A value containing a backslash is no longer damaged on its way into the database.
• The church details published for search engines can no longer be broken by a stray tag in a setting.
• The unlisted choice saved from Quick Edit is sanitized before it is read, and temporary files left by a manifest import are now removed through WordPress rather than by a direct file call.
• The completeness report's own links use the new prefix. A bookmarked report URL from an earlier version opens the default view rather than the filtered one.

• Unlisted sermons are now kept out of lists that name the sermon type as a list rather than a single value, and a repeated error-log warning is gone.
