Estimate sloped roof area from supplied plan dimensions and pitch. Add a separate row for each rectangular section. Add the SlopeQuill Roof Area Estimator block or [roof_area_estimator] shortcode. Labelled keyboard controls, isolated repeat instances and a responsive layout inherit your site's font and text colour. Download a plain-text summary or use Print summary. No account, API, analytics, cookies, lead capture or visitor-data storage. All inputs stay in the current page until you download them. The tool sends nothing to a provider. Plan area is length × width. Sloped area is plan area ÷ cos(pitch). The allowance is applied once to the total sloped area. This rectangular approximation excludes complex shapes, overlaps, ridges and penetrations; it is not a material order, quote or structural assessment. Use dimensions and pitch from existing plans or a professional; no access to a roof is needed to use this tool. Site-wide settings: Developed by Roofing Northern Beaches.

安装:

  1. Upload the ZIP through Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin and activate it on a single-site staging install.
  2. Open Settings → SlopeQuill Roof Area Estimator to review defaults.
  3. Add the SlopeQuill Roof Area Estimator block, or a Shortcode block containing [roof_area_estimator].
  4. Preview the page and verify the tool in your theme before publishing.

0.1.0 Tested on WordPress 6.3/PHP 7.4 and WordPress 7.1.2/PHP 8.3 with official Playground. Check compatibility in your target theme before using it on a live site.

常见问题:

Does it save my information?

No. Reloading or leaving the page loses inputs. Download a summary if you want to keep it. There are no reminders, provider messages or background tasks.

Can I change the heading?

Use the block sidebar, or [roof_area_estimator title="My planning tool"].

How many rows can I add?

Add up to 50 rectangular roof sections. Leave unused sections blank; complete the dimensions and pitch in every section you use before downloading the area summary.

What are its limits?
