TakeMeThere

This is a plugin for locating any place by typing first few letters. The names are searched in operstreetmaps data using nominatim api http://nominatim.openstreetmap.org It uses leaflet.js library for displaying the map. http://leafletjs.com You can specify the distance from current map centre within which the place is to be searched. For specifing the distance, a slider is provided The minimum distance is 100 KM and maximum is 1000 KM, which can be incremented in the steps of 100 KM. For searching, start typing the name (London, Paris, Mumbai etc.) In the text box at the bottom of the widget. As soon as three or more characters are entered, a suggestion box pops beneth, displaying all the names in openstreetmap data. When you click on any suggestion, that place is zoomed in the map. For using the plugin, you have to use shortcode, "[TakeMeThere]" , ie type [TakeMeThere] anywhere in the post or page content.
