[trade_testimonials]shortcode and a native block editor block - both render identical, server-side markup, so what you see in the editor preview is what visitors see. Shows every published testimonial with Previous/Next page links when there are more than fit on one page - visitors never leave your site to see more reviews.- LocalBusiness/AggregateRating/Review structured data (JSON-LD), for search engines and other structured-data consumers. Note: this will not produce star icons in Google Search results - Google excludes a business's own curated reviews of itself from that specific feature, regardless of which site hosts the markup. The benefit here is that your review text becomes genuine, indexable content on your own domain instead of living inside an iframe, not search-result stars.
- "Request a Testimonial" screen to email a customer a feedback link directly from WordPress, using an API key generated from your TradeTestimonials dashboard - available on the free plan too, up to its usual request limits. Email only - there is no SMS option in this plugin.
- Results are cached (a few hours by default, configurable) so your site isn't fetching from TradeTestimonials on every page load.

- Install and activate the plugin.
- Don't have a TradeTestimonials account yet? Create one for free - no card required.
- Go to Settings (under the "TradeTestimonials" menu) and enter your TradeTestimonials slug (the last part of your public testimonials page URL). Use "Test connection" to confirm it's correct.
- Add the
[trade_testimonials]shortcode to a page/post, or add the "TradeTestimonials" block in the block editor. - Optional: to send requests from WordPress, generate an API key from the "WordPress plugin" card on your TradeTestimonials dashboard (works on the free plan too) and paste it into the plugin's Settings page.

Do I need a TradeTestimonials account?
Yes. This plugin only displays and manages testimonials for an existing TradeTestimonials account - it doesn't collect or store testimonials itself. Accounts are free to create at tradetestimonials.com - no card required.
Will this get me star ratings in Google search results?
No, and no legitimate integration with a business's own curated testimonials can. Google's guidelines exclude self-serving reviews - a business's own reviews of itself - from the star rich-snippet feature, regardless of which domain hosts the markup. This plugin still emits the structured data as correct practice and for other consumers.
Does the "Request a Testimonial" screen send SMS?
No. It's email only.
How many testimonials can I display on the free plan?
Free TradeTestimonials accounts can publish up to 3 testimonials, which is what this plugin will display. Upgrade to a paid TradeTestimonials account for unlimited testimonials.
Can free-tier TradeTestimonials accounts send requests from WordPress?
Yes. Both displaying testimonials and sending requests work on the free plan, up to its usual request limits - sending from WordPress isn't a paid-only feature. It only stops working once your account is actually over its free limit or a subscription has lapsed, same as sending from the TradeTestimonials dashboard itself.

- Silenced a Plugin Check warning about unprefixed variables in the three template files (templates/list.php, admin-settings.php, admin-request-form.php). These files are only ever include()'d from inside a class method, so their variables live in that method's local scope, not the real PHP global scope the check is protecting - annotated rather than prefixed, since prefixing would be cosmetic only.
- Renamed all internal class, function, define, hook, option and enqueue handle names from the "TT_"/"tt_" prefix to "TRADTE_"/"tradte_" (at least 4 characters, per the WordPress.org review team's feedback - the old prefix was too short and risked colliding with other plugins). Internal only; no setting, shortcode, or user-facing behavior changed.
