Switching from Custom Product Tabs for WooCommerce? Import all of its product tabs and saved tabs in one click. Preview first and nothing is written; import; and undo at any time. The original tab data is never changed or deleted, and your product pages stay exactly as they were: every tab shows once, even while the old plugin is still active, and tabs the old plugin never showed stay hidden.
It is also a complete tabs plugin: add extra tabs such as a size chart, shipping and returns, care instructions or FAQs to your WooCommerce product pages.
Tabs for a single product
- Add as many tabs as you like to any product, with the standard WordPress editor.
- Drag tabs into the order you want, or use the arrow buttons.
- Hide a tab without deleting it.
Saved tabs, shown on many products
- Write a tab once and add it to many products. Edit it once, and every product shows the change.
- Show a saved tab on all products, or on all products of chosen categories (subcategories included).
- Hide a rule-based tab on a single product.
WooCommerce's own tabs
- Rename, hide or move Description, Additional information and Reviews. The number of reviews stays after a new name for Reviews.
- With the default settings nothing changes.
Import from Custom Product Tabs for WooCommerce
If your store uses Custom Product Tabs for WooCommerce, you can import its product tabs and saved tabs in one click:
- Preview first: see how many products and tabs will be imported, and anything that needs your attention. Nothing is written.
- The original tabs are never changed or deleted, and the import can be undone.
- Your product pages look the same: tabs the old plugin did not show (untitled tabs, and all but the last of tabs with the same title) are imported hidden.
- Each tab shows once: on imported products the old plugin's copies of the imported tabs are hidden, so you can check your pages before you deactivate it. Products you did not import, and tabs added later in the old plugin, are left alone. Undoing the import shows them again.
- Imported tab headings keep the old plugin's CSS classes, so styles your theme has for them still apply.
- When you are done, deactivate the old plugin with one click from the import report.
- Large stores are imported in small batches; an import that is interrupted continues where it stopped, without duplicates.
Important: do not delete Custom Product Tabs for WooCommerce before importing — only deactivate it. Deleting that plugin removes its tabs from your database, and then there is nothing left to import.
Works with
- Classic themes and block themes, including the Product Details block.

Your data stays yours
The plugin sends nothing anywhere and adds nothing to your store you did not write. Deleting the plugin keeps your tabs unless you turn on "Delete all data when the plugin is deleted" in the settings.
- Install and activate the plugin. WooCommerce must be active.
- Edit a product and open Product data > Custom tabs to add tabs.
- Go to Products > Saved tabs to write tabs you want to reuse.
- Settings: WooCommerce > Settings > Products > Custom tabs.
To import tabs from Custom Product Tabs for WooCommerce: keep that plugin installed (active or deactivated), then go to
Products > Import tabs, click
Preview, then
Import. After checking a few product pages, deactivate the old plugin (do not delete it).
