Fix: variable ticket products did not get their PDF ticket attached to the order e-mail - only simple tickets did. WooCommerce reports a variation as the plain variation product type, so the ticket check now also looks at the parent product's type, the same way the order-page/PDF download path already did.

Fix: capacity, remaining-stock and availability now count every seat-occupying ticket instead of only valid ones. A refunded or canceled ticket releases its seat, while a checked-in ticket keeps it - scanning a guest at the door no longer hands the seat back or re-opens sales on a sold-out event.
Fix: an order whose ticket e-mail or download link was opened before the order reached Processing/Completed no longer collects a second, duplicate set of tickets when the status then changes. The 1.1.4 fallback that resolves real ticket rows for the e-mail/PDF attachment writes rows for every line item of the order, but it never stamped the "tickets issued" guard - only the status handler did. A two-line-item order could therefore end up with four tickets, and the extra rows consumed capacity as well. Issuance is now idempotent in Venuera_Ticket::create_from_order() itself, the one place that writes the rows: it returns the existing rows (stamping the guard when it was missing) instead of issuing a second set, whichever entry point runs first.
New: the Add-Ons screen builds each card from the add-on's own icon file (assets/icon.svg or an app-icon PNG) when it ships one, and falls back to the built-in glyphs otherwise, so a newly published add-on never shows an empty tile.
Dev: Venuera_Ticket::released_statuses() and Venuera_Ticket::count_sold() are the single definition of "the seat is free again"; the raw-SQL capacity queries use the shared SQL fragment.

Fix: the Venuera event archive no longer falls back to the theme's generic archive.php template. Previously, when a theme shipped a generic archive.php (for example Astra Pro), Venuera's filterable event archive (search, category and date filters, cards with date/venue/time, Get Tickets buttons) was skipped and the theme rendered the events as plain blog text. The archive template is now always Venuera's archive-event.php unless the theme explicitly provides an archive-venuera_event.php, which matches the WordPress template hierarchy convention (archive-{post_type}.php wins over archive.php).
Fix: recurring-event ticket emails and the order page no longer show the base event start date on the ticket card when the customer bought a specific occurrence. The card now shows the purchased occurrence's date and time, matching the PDF attachment.
Fix: when a paid order had no recorded ticket rows (the ticket email fired before ticket creation ran), the PDF attachment fabricated a synthetic ticket id (for example TKT-000199-0081-1) and put that into the QR, which the check-in scanner could not find and reported as invalid. The fallback now resolves (or creates) the real ticket rows and prints each ticket's real id and QR on the email PDF attachment and the order-page/PDF download, so scanning a ticket always lands on an existing ticket.
Fix: the checkout consent notice (Venuera > Settings > Checkout Consent) no longer disappears on the block checkout in Safari and other WebKit browsers. The consent was injected into the React-managed checkout form, and any later re-render of that form wiped it out; timing only made it stick in Chromium. The notice is now re-applied automatically whenever the checkout form re-renders, so the checkbox stays visible above the Place order button until the order is submitted. Works on both the classic and the block checkout.

New: Reserve Tickets For Unpaid Orders. Venuera > Settings now lists the payment methods enabled in WooCommerce; select the offline ones (cheque, direct bank transfer, cash on delivery...) and their unpaid orders keep their tickets reserved for the whole time the order sits On hold, with no time limit, so the same seats can't be sold to somebody else while you wait for the payment. Tickets are still created and emailed only once the order becomes Processing or Completed, and the reserved capacity is released as soon as the order is cancelled, fails or is refunded. With nothing selected, unpaid orders hold tickets only for the short checkout race window, as before.
Fix: an order that already had its tickets created no longer reserves its capacity a second time, which could happen when staff put a paid order back on hold.
Dev: availability checks now build the reserved-quantity map once per request instead of once per ticket type, so event pages with many ticket types no longer re-query the same in-flight orders for every answer. The reserving gateways can be adjusted with the new venuera_reserve_unpaid_gateways filter, and both order scans are capped by venuera_pending_reservation_query_limit and venuera_reserved_offline_query_limit.
Fix: multiple Venuera Event blocks can now be added to the same page - each block runs its own occurrence picker, availability and add-to-cart independently. Until now the block could only be inserted once per page, so a "what's on this week" page had to link out to a separate event page for every event.
Fix: the same applies to the [venuera_event] shortcode - several event embeds on one page no longer share a single date selection, ticket list or Add to cart button, and a selection made in one embed no longer changes the tickets shown in another.
Dev: each embed is wrapped in a .venuera-event-block element carrying data-event-id, and the front-end scripts scope every element lookup and event listener to that wrapper instead of the whole document. The existing #venuera-event-info-{event_id} anchor and the venuera_event_info_id filter are unchanged, so links to the ticket area keep working.

New: Checkout Consent. A new Settings tab adds an optional notice at the bottom of the checkout, shown either as plain text or as a checkbox the buyer has to tick before the order can be placed. Write your own wording, optionally point a terms and a privacy link at your own web addresses or show that text in a popup without leaving the checkout, and the agreement is stored on the order together with the date it was given. Works on both the classic and the block checkout.
New: the ticket section on the event page now carries its own id, so you can link straight to the purchase area from anywhere on your site, for example /event/my-event/#venuera-event-info-123.
New: the intro line above the attendee fields at checkout can be edited in Venuera > Settings, so you can add a note about permission to share attendee details and a link to your privacy information.
Fix: viewing an event on the front end gave no Edit button in the admin toolbar, unlike pages and products, so editors could not tell where an event is edited.
Fix: a refused add-to-cart (for example a ticket type whose sale window had closed) left its error message waiting in the customer's session. On the block-based cart and checkout nothing ever displayed it, and WooCommerce then reported that leftover message as the reason every later order attempt failed - "Ticket sales have ended." for a ticket that was perfectly buyable, on every try, for as long as the session lasted. Such a message is now discarded before the cart is checked, so a customer can no longer be locked out of checking out.
Fix: the event page now shows pending WooCommerce messages next to the ticket list, so a refused add-to-cart explains itself on the spot instead of failing silently.
Fix: an attendee field answered with "0" - a real answer on a checkbox, number or select field - was treated as blank and failed the required-field check, on both the classic and the block checkout. Answers made up only of blank values are also no longer stored on the order.
Security: template names and PDF font names are now validated before being loaded from disk, so a filtered or malformed value can no longer resolve to a file outside the plugin's template and font directories.
Security: Event block attributes and [venuera_event] shortcode attributes are normalized to their expected types before rendering.
Dev: install and ticket-PDF diagnostics moved from error_log() to the WooCommerce logger (sources: venuera-install, venuera-ticket-pdf). Missing ticket-PDF images are now logged in production too, not only with WP_DEBUG.
Dev: removed imagedestroy() calls deprecated in PHP 8.5; GD images are freed by the garbage collector.
Dev: composer.json now ships inside the distributed zip so the bundled vendor/ directory carries its manifest.

New: each ticket type of a variable ticket product can now run its own sale schedule. Tick "Override the sale schedule for this ticket type" on a variation and give it its own start and end dates, so an early bird type closes on its own date while the general type keeps selling from the same product. Left unticked, the ticket type follows the parent product's schedule as before.
New: the variation editor shows the parent product's sale schedule next to the override, and warns when an overriding ticket type is set to keep selling past the parent's sale end date.
New: on the event page, a ticket type that is outside its sale window now shows "On sale from [date]" or "Sales ended" in place of the add-to-cart button, instead of offering a button that the cart would only reject afterwards.
Fix: sale start and end dates were compared in a format that made them take effect a day late. A sale set to open at 10:00 on a given day stayed closed for the rest of that day, and a sale set to end kept selling for an extra day. Existing dates are corrected automatically; no re-saving is needed.
Fix: adding a ticket to the cart checked the sale window of the parent ticket product even when a specific ticket type was chosen, so a ticket type with its own schedule was not enforced at checkout.
Fix: the Ticket Designer list showed "Not assigned" under every template even when templates were correctly assigned to ticket products. The card counted event-level assignments, which are no longer written since templates are picked on the ticket product (and per variation); it now counts the ticket types actually using each template.
Fix: switching a ticket product or variation from one template to another could leave the previous assignment in place, so the ticket kept printing with the old design. The old assignment is now cleared when a new template is picked.
Fix: setting a ticket product back to "Default Template", or a variation back to "Inherit from parent", left the previous assignment behind and tickets kept using the deselected template. Clearing the selection now really falls back to the default (or to the parent product).
Fix: PDF and HTML tickets printed the event date and time shifted by the site's UTC offset instead of showing the event's own timezone. An event set to start at 12:00 with its timezone set to Cairo could print as 3:00 pm on the ticket while the event page correctly showed 12:00, and late-evening events could print the following day's date. Ticket output now renders start times in the timezone saved on the event, matching the event page, and the Ticket Designer preview no longer shows a shifted sample time.

Fix: two checkouts hitting the same recurring-event occurrence at the same moment could create duplicate occurrence rows. The occurrences table now enforces a UNIQUE key per event and start time; the database update merges any existing duplicates and repoints their tickets automatically.
Fix: the personal-data (GDPR) exporter and eraser now also cover attendee details stored on WooCommerce order items, so export and erasure requests made for an attendee's email address return and anonymize the data actually collected at checkout - including when the attendee's email differs from the buyer's.
Fix: seat/zone order-item meta written without the _venuera_ prefix by older Venue Designer versions is migrated to the prefixed keys used by current code.
