Do I need to pay VidFlow AI to use the bundled providers?
No. You pay the AI provider directly using your own account. The bundled provider integrations are fully included in the free plugin. The optional Pro add-on focuses on workflow features only.
Are all VidFlow AI features included in the free plugin?
The free plugin includes the bundled BYOK provider workflow, Create Video page, Gutenberg sidebar and embed block, shortcode, Video Library, encrypted connector settings, completion audio, media import readiness controls, protected local playback, and signed embed refresh. The optional Pro add-on focuses on workflow tools such as Projects, project assets, tracked batch runs, and merged video workflows.
Does Pro unlock more providers?
No. Bundled provider access stays in the free plugin because VidFlow AI is BYOK. Pro focuses on workflow tools rather than locking provider access.
Where are my videos stored?
VidFlow AI stores job metadata in WordPress and keeps the provider-returned source URL on the record. When a completed video can be imported, the plugin copies it into protected WordPress uploads, attaches it to the Media Library, and serves playback through signed URLs. If import is still pending or blocked by server limits, the provider-hosted URL remains the temporary fallback for preview and download actions.
Do I need cache exclusions for embedded videos?
If your site uses a cache plugin, CDN, firewall cache, or JavaScript optimization plugin, exclude /vidflow-video/*, /wp-json/vidflow/v1/public-video-url*, and ?rest_route=/vidflow/v1/public-video-url* from caching. Do not delay assets/js/embed-refresh.js until interaction; it refreshes stale signed URLs when cached pages are served.
What if generation fails?
Failed jobs keep their prompt and parameters so you can retry them from the Video Library.
Does this work with Classic Editor?
Yes. You can embed generated videos with the [vidflow id="123"] shortcode.
