[warmaplive] to any page and the map appears, full width and interactive, exactly as it is on warmaplive.com. It keeps updating on your page on its own — there is nothing to sync and nothing to maintain.
Who uses it
<iframe> pointing at it shows an empty box. An embed key lifts that for the domains you list on it, and nothing else.
Getting one takes about a minute at id.lumorabuild.com/account/embeds: name your site, list your domain, copy the key, paste it into the plugin. It is free and it does not consume credits.
Because a key only permits showing the map on your own domains, it is not a secret and it is safe to leave in your page source. It is worthless to anyone else.
In WordPress
[warmaplive] anywhere a shortcode works: post, page, text widget, page builder.https://www.warmaplive.com in exactly one situation: when an administrator presses the connection check button. It sends your embed key and this site's address, and receives back whether the two match. Nothing else is ever sent, and never on a visitor's request.
A visitor's browser requests the map from https://www.warmaplive.com directly when it renders a page containing the embed, exactly as it would for any embedded map. Their request carries the embed key (so the map knows it is allowed to appear on your site) and the standard information any web request carries. No visitor data passes through your server to us, and this plugin sets no cookies.
[warmaplive] to a page — or insert the War Map Live block.Yes. The plugin is free and the embed key is free. Embedding the map does not consume credits.
Because War Map Live blocks embedding by default. Without that block, any site could frame the map — including sites that would wrap it in their own advertising or present it as their own. The key is the opt-in, and it is bound to your domains so it cannot be lifted and reused elsewhere.
Almost always the key is not allowed on the domain you are viewing. Press Check connection on the Overview tab — it names exactly which domains your key covers. Note that www.example.com and example.com are different origins; a key created for one normally covers both, but a key created for a different site will not work here.
No, and it does not need to be. Anyone can read it in your page source, but it only permits displaying the map on the domains listed on that key. Do not reuse it as a password anywhere else.
Revocation takes up to five minutes to reach every server. Wait, then reload.
No. The map is lazy-loaded in its own frame and loads after your page. Your server never contacts War Map Live when a visitor loads a page.
Yes. Each gets its own settings and its own frame.
Yes. The output is plain static HTML with no server-side work per request, so caching plugins can cache it freely and the map still updates itself in the browser.
Nothing is deleted and your settings stay. Uninstalling removes the plugin's own settings and nothing else — your embed key lives in your Lumora account and is untouched.
