Web Plura Backup & Restore Manager is a free local backup and restore manager for WordPress. It supports manual local backups, local restore review, resumable job processing, explicit restore confirmation, job history, local backup storage visibility, and disaster recovery readiness notes.
Free Local Mode is the default and works without any cloud connection.
Free Local Mode keeps one retained local backup slot per backup type: full-site, database-only, and files-only. Each new backup of the same type replaces the previous slot only after explicit confirmation. Local backups are stored as protected plugin-native
.wpbrpkg artifacts with .wpbridx metadata, and restore requires Web Plura Backup & Restore Manager rather than generic unzip/import steps.
The free WordPress.org plugin is local-only and gives site owners deliberate local backup and restore workflows with checkpoints and job history. Cloud operations, entitlement validation, subscription-managed downloads, and advanced disaster recovery support belong to the separate Pro add-on and hosted Web Plura services.

Does this plugin require Web Plura Security Center?
No. This plugin is standalone and uses only its own web_plura_brd_ options, tables, actions, assets, and REST namespace.
Are local backups offsite disaster recovery?
No. Local backups are stored on the same WordPress site. Keep separate hosting, server-level, or offsite backups for stronger disaster recovery.
Can restore actions run without confirmation?
No. Restore workflows require explicit confirmation.
Can failed local jobs be resumed?
Yes. Failed local jobs can be resumed from the Jobs page. The plugin requeues the existing local job so the runner continues from saved checkpoint state.
